Wanted to send out a very appreciative "thank you" to our umpiring team this Sunday for our 4th game at the Forsyth County Patriots Day tournament held at Coal Mountain.

We were fortunate to have this umpire, call a game for us last year in an 11u game. My son was pitching. We lost the game, but at the beginning, middle and end of the game, the umpire had the upmost respect for EVERYONE. He made his rules clear, he walked out to speak with another pitcher when "almost" balking, walked over and spoke to players that were frustrated, and spoke to our team afterward to say that he was impressed by our attitudes, hustle and behaviors.

He called the game for us today, and unfortunately there was a bad behavior incident (runner was called out at 3rd, used the 3rd baseman to push himself off the ground, then proceeded to kick the 3rd baseman, then threw his helmet as he walked to the dugout, but not before mouthing-off again to the umpire). Umpire ejected said player.

Now this professional, has a look!
Tattoos, tall stature and a killer moustache.
Maybe late 40s.

I spoke to him after the game, and said how much we appreciated his work today, then said we remembered him from a game 1.5 years ago.

He was thankful, polite and courteous.

I do not know his name.
Somebody must know this individual.....
Please hire him. Pay him 2x his/3x normal fee. He is worth it, and your players, your parents and the boys, will truly feel the difference.

He was the umpire at Coal Mountain today (9-15-13)for an 11u game on Field #5 @ 12pm, then our 12u game @ 2pm Field #5.

To your sir, again thank you for your time and expertise.

Ryan

Ryan,

This is Dave Gerstner, our 16u team the North Georgia Raiders was the host of the tournament. The associate we use and continue to use because all of their umpires are some of the best is True Blue Umpire Association out of Cumming GA.

This association is very professional, courteous and fair. They are the first call we make when needing umpires. When they make a mistake (which all umpires do), they make every effort to get it right.

If you ever need an umpire give Aaron a call at 404-824-0933.

Thanks, Dave
