What is a good, average, and substandard 60 time for a 16U 1B/3B? I'll go ahead and put his time out there...ran it yesterday at the Top 100 Showcase...it had poured all morning (so it was a very wet field)....ran the 60 in 7.5. I only ask because this is his first showcase, and I have no frame of reference.

He paired with a kid from his travel team who's pretty fast...other kid is a starting WR for his High School. Finished about 1 1/2 steps behind him.

Good? Decent? Pitiful??

6.7 and 6.9 times equate to an average MLB runner.

Here's a great article on baseball and speed. Bottom line of the article, don't get too wrapped up on it.

You can go on PG for free and check out 60 times from previous athletes at different positions. Sorry, but rain doesn't get recorded or noted in anyone's time. I'd suggest he participate in more and get timed on dry turf.

I believe on PG they will have track conditions if you look closely.
