What a moron...fine get rid of that crap move to first with a leftie where they step half way to home. Make the only way to pick to first by a leftie to step behind.
Peashooter is right, lefties have an enormous advantage on moves to first. Just check with any player trying to steal on a lefty versus a right hander. Righties have an advantage on a move to third but it is rarely used (I haven't seen that move in a major league game in years) Also it is much more important to the defense to keep the runner from getting to second, the runner on third rarely steals home. Leave the rule alone!
