What would it take to get an Association started such as this for all of us living East, and Southeast of Atlanta, in order to keep us informed about all the athletes around this area ? It is awesome to see all the response this site generates and the ability to keep in touch with all the parties involved !!!

This site has gone far beyond its origins of 11 years ago and now has participants from a wide geographic area including out of state.

Just join in and create topics from your area and it will develop.

@Chris Cathcart.... I believe I know you. If you are the C.C. that went to H.H.S. and who's brother is Dave, we went to High School together. Many boys from the Covington/Conyers area play on various travel ball teams and their parents participate on this forum. It well represents our area. You will enjoy the site and can really learn alot. Hope all is well with you!

Here is what I know of travel ball associations on the Eastside... Gwinnett actively encourages travel ball at its Parks, hence the GGBL. I believe Rockdale and Walton fall into this same category. Newton actively discourages travel ball at its parks, which is why a lot of teams in this area find themselves playing in tourneys with no park affiliation and practicing at church fields, but still field some very nice teams, Covington Catch and Covington Sting.

As far as getting an association started, are you referring to a forum like this or just an association to play ball?

Hey loveit , yes that's me , but I went to R.C.H.S. I am with all you guys on this, there is a lot of players from this area scattered all over the place, and that's too bad ! It just seems when you are looking for a team to play with , or players to put one together, they are way up in Cobb, or in the far reaches of Gwinnett, and we just finished playing up in Dacula since Feb.,and just couldn't get up there for practices all the time , so it ended up hurting his playing time. I was going to take a fall team to get the soon-to-be 14 year olds getting ready for high school ball next year, a decent tourney schedule to keep up timing, etc., but would I be able to get the players needed ?

What county specifically are you looking to play in?

I live in South Rockdale close to Henry County, so anything that's not too far, which makes practice time such a burden due to work schedules, plus a chance for family and friends to make it to games sometimes !!!
