At the end of the season we can have a party (big BBQ) and have all the people from this forum and anyone else. We can all where our screen names on our shirt...lol Of course we will have to do it at a park with a baseball field. Maybe this park can be centrally located so we can all come. I'm sure the boys would start some kind of wiffle ball game.

Any other ideas for this party???????????????????

Hey Gwinnett,

I think the theme should be a roast to Baseball Papa . We can all get up there and rip on him!!! That would be fun , and I know Papa is the kind of person that would take it in stride !

Seriosly though , it does sound pretty cool. Maybe make it a fundraiser for The Miracle League or something like that?

Great idea, but I think that there are many individuals that post and desire not to be known. Plus I think there are many that live far away, a few hours travel. I may be wrong.

Maybe the ones that don't want to be known can wear hoods over their heads?

it would be a pretty small party. We all know that there are only about 10 people that posted but each has 3 or 4 screen names!!! LOL

We could call it the Screen name Fundraiser and have it at a big baseball facility (hint hint papa)with plenty of parking lot for all the good cooking. Heck, we could bring in the media. Oh, and for all the dads that are, all that, we could let the boys pitch to them (including myself) in the batting cages behind a L screen. I guarantee these boys will strike out many dads. In fact, I bet the boys could come up with some more ways to embarrass us dads. All for a good cause I'm sure.

Even better, after the boys have figured out all the ways to best embarass the dads.

WE COULD POST ALL THE STATS FOR THE SCREEN NAMES ON THE FORUM....LOL

Now that would be funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A fund raiser for State Trooper Chad LeCroy. I beleive his father is a Travel Ball coach with an East Cobb team.

I dont know about that facing the kids stuff, I dont think i would be able to stay in the box , been a long time since I faced live pitching!!!I think we would be Ok with the screen names on here ,not a lot of people hiding on this site. If it was for the 12U major site ,now that would be interesting , would have to have some security on duty for that one!!!

Wow, with all, I mean ALL the screen names I've seen---it sure got quiet when I said STATS.....lol...lol

I'm sure there's a lot of experts on this site that would be shown up by a bunch of 11, 12 and maybe even 10 year old boys. My excuse-- I'm to old....lol

I know the boys would get lots, I mean LOTS of joy out of embarassing a bunch of grown men!!!

Oh and when we had a question about a screen name we could just look up there stats.....lol

I'm afraid I would be the first to get nailed by a pitch, by accident of course. I bet it would be funny as long as I wasn't killed....lol

Good idea oldschool. Maybe we could combine a couple good causes and split it amongst them????

I KNOW EVERYONE IS AFRAID OF THE STATS BECAUSE TRULY THESE BOYS WILL SHOW US WHO REALLY KNOWS HOW TO PLAY BALL!!!!!

How about a nice round of home run derby. We could get a trophy or something and get some bbq going. Trooper Lecroy dad is a coach on 11u sandy plains team I think. Heck it would make a good fund raiser for the fallen troopers family.

Hey, we could then make a list of the Top Ten Posters and argue about it.
Then USSSA could arrange an exclusionary tournament using only the top 5 posters from Georgia against the top 5 posters from Florida based on the arbitrary ranking of biased posters from last season even though the current posting teams are comprised of different posters than last season and not one of them has posted even once in one posting event but what the heck, lets just label them the best before they even have their first posting practice.
I call dibs on plunking SeminoleTony.
We could have the posters from East Cobb Baseball defend themselves against everyone else! Then some Bartow County posters, in concert with posters from Perfect Game, could join forces and we all can argue whether the East Cobb posters should start worrying.
Lets not forget about the 643DP posters who could try to engage some run down, unused posters from Marietta who weren't doing anything but going to pot and the rest of us could complain that they should not have access to Marietta community posters for personal profit even though they would be providing much needed recreational space and beautifying the derelict posters. (ok, this ones a stretch).
I bet we get 100 posters, all with a different method of washing their Mizuno pants.
And under no circumstance will composite posters be allowed this year unless you are a poster in the 14U and under divisions for the 2011 season but there is an exception for non-high school, home schooled, triple crown, little leagures with a sticker on their forehead, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...........
And finally, we would need to divide the posters into different age groups based on their age as of April 30th. Or January 1st. Maybe June 15th? How about based on what grade they are in? Can they move up a class of posters or should they post with posters their own age?? I give up......................

Papa has had his full attention on this weekend's tournament and Middle School Tryouts and have just had the chance to read this topic. Off the chart funny. excoach12 post should go in the post of the year box along with several others but this one is right at the top of the top 10.

This is really a good idea and Papa would love to meet all of the other posters and if my facility could help we would more than glad to assist in any way. I would take no offence to being roasted as long as the roast is cooked on low heat as I never could hit the high heat.

We have just begun to play some Dodge Ball on the indoor field and who could have more experience dodging something than the group of posters that have dodged putting their true identify on the line. Papa has not got the arm he used to have but I am sure that I could put one of the Dodge Balls in a place the sun doesn't shine for one of these guys.

On a more serious note--I would like to meet as many people as possible from this forum. I am very thankful for all the great information I recieve off here weekly! It would be great to get together and cook out, goof off, and have some fun. If papas offering his facility that would be even better. Soooo, you can count me in and yes I will were my name tag on my forehead (for a little while). After the end of June would be best, cause we are playing ball every weekend till then.

ps--if we can turn it into a fundraiser for any good cause that would be icing on the cake!

Oh, another great idea you could turn it into a official recruiting event. That way no one will feel hurt about there son being recruited to another team.... The boys could do some different games that showcase there talents--pitching, batting, fielding. This would draw even more people out! You could make it an all day event with different age groups at different times????? Being that it would be at the end of the spring season all the boys will probably be at there best.. Just a thought?????

ps---with that much talent in one spot you would need some really good instructors(in case they want new clients)to be present. And with that many people you would need a really great facility???? What do you think papa???????

One last thing to gain entry you must have a legit screen name on this forum.....lol If you don't you have to donate to what ever the fundraiser is.... Now were talking! Of course I know ALL the legit screen names would donate anyway.... RIGHT????????
