Congratulations to the Sandtown Red Sox for winning the 2010 Triple Crown Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach this week! Tony Douglas and the boys took home the trophy over the other top 32 teams that were there in the 11u age group! I want to say thank you and commend this team for a great season in the state of Georgia! I know that this team has overcome a lot of adversity and stuck it out in those tough times! Take a bow and thank you again for being a huge supporter of Triple Crown baseball. We look forward to seeing you possibly this fall and into the 2011 season.

Thanks for the kind words, Papa. We had a great time in Myrtle Beach this past week, The tournament was ran 1st Class, You never had to look for a director, They would meet you at the field when it was time to play, With everything in hand and always ask if you needed anything. There were NO GATE FEES at any fields, This was a first of a tournament this size. Fields were good! We also saw the Georgia Elite, They played great, A lot of teams including myself thought they would make it to the finals but, an 8AM game is hard on any team. Opening ceremonies were on the Beach, It was Great with just about all the teams in each age group attending. I would recommend this tournament to any team looking to end there season with a bang! There about 6 South Florida teams there and a number of NC and SC with other coming from the East Coast. 11U was a great season and The Sandtown Red Sox are looking for a even better 12U Season, Good Luck to all and we will see you in late Oct. or early Nov.
