Any predictions? I'm taking Legends Baseball out of Lakeland, Florida in a rout. |

Have not seen them play, but a friend of mine from Lakeland has and he said they are special. Miami Brawlers USSSA record is even more impressive. I cant see one of these two not winning it. |

Also, it looks like the Choo Choo City team received a rough draw in pool play, WOW!

I am sure there are some great Major teams playing this week but I am going to have to be pulling for DecaturDad and the Decatur Vipers!! Yes, they are a very good AA team but I still hope they can go up there and get some folks to take notice!

Yeah, weve got our work cut out for us. IMO the toughest schedule I have ever seen @ Cooperstown. Oh well - so's life.
Legends @ 8:30 AM on the first morning - guess somebody has to play them. Then we get San Diego Stars, Lamorinda, & Cincy Falmes.

The winner of this one will be the team with the best pickup players. If anyone is going up there with their regular roster they don't stand a chance. |

legands to the final 4 but San Diego stars will take the title, mark it down!
coach tony, unfortunately Cooperstown is probably not the best place to go get noticed unless they picked up some serious talent. they should get in some bigger local tournaments if they want to get noticed, just my opinion |

I haven't seen San Diego play, but I have talked to several coaches of elite teams in Fla....They were under the impression that San Diego is taking 4 or 5 big pick ups. What team are you with Error?? |

After the first day, looks like the Decatur Vipers (USSSA AA team) is the only GA team in the top 10 in the standings, with Kennesaw and 6-4-3 also being undefeated. Two more days of pool play to to go. |

After 4 games, 6-4-3 still undefeated. Decatur Vipers, Kennesaw, ECB Rays and Columbia county are each 3-1. GA teams well represented in the pool play standings.
Brawlers & legends up top. |

I'm right on the money...thus far. Let's see how they hold up after it gets to the Elite 8.

All six pool play games are complete, and the single elimination tournament starts today. Here are the rankings of the Georgia teams out of 92 teams present:
#10 - 643 DP Cougars (6-0) #19 - Kennesaw Mustangs (5-1) #23 - East Cobb Rays (5-1) #34 - Columbia County Bulldogs (4-2) #40 - Buckhead Braves (3-3) #43 - Decatur Vipers (3-3) #62 - Coal Mountain Raiders (2-4) #68 - Georgia Mudcats (2-4)
From a coach's perspective, this has been an incredbile experience for everyone. We've lucked out with the weather this week, and didn't have ANY rain delays and every game started exactly on time. Our team (Kennesaw Mustangs) has played some incredible baseball teams already, TABU (one of top team in N. California), Carolina Twins (one of top teams in S. Carolina), and Florida Pokers (one of top teams in Florida). Besides one bad innining against the Pokers, we've played our best baseball of the season. I think it has a lot to do with the fun and positive atmosphere here at Cooperstown and the 100% focus on baseball... no distractions to deal with. We're looking forward to another great day of baseball today. |

Just checked the bracket, if both 643 and the ECB Rays win, they play each other. Nothing like going 1k miles away to play another team from your backyard. The brackets do set up nicely for the Miami and Legends teams, should be fun once they get down to about 16 teams. |

Looks like Decatur Vipers have moved onto the Sweet 16!!! Very Impressive, usually if you win your first or 2nd round bracket game it doesnt say much bc of the level of teams in the lower half of the seeding but the Vipers have played their way far past the 1st round!! Nice job Vipers.
As somebody mentioned, it looks like the EC Rays ousted 643's fantasy run with a 6-0 shutout!
Pool play is luck of the draw, some of these teams that are "rated" high from other states as what the KM coach stated, shouldnt be rated so high by peers because after a 5-1 start for Kennesaw it looks like they got the ax in the first round of bracket, maybe wasted to much pitching going 5-1, I dont know!
good luck Vipers and Rays tomorrow, had a feeling the Rays would be the only team to the sweet 16 but the Vipers have made it as well!!! |

The Decatur Vipers took three straight today to go from a seeding of 43 to the sweet 16! The boys played thier hearts out today. The last game today had 5 balls go yard. Three by the Vipers and two by the Slammers. I am so proud of these boys. We took the same team we have played with all season and held thier own against two majors teams with who brought the hired guns |

E06...Is making the Sweet 16 enough for a team to get noticed without picking up studs like you suggested? I knew when you said that deep down that you were right....but I always pull for the underdog...especially one from home ;)
DD....CONGRATS!! I saw that your son had 2 big home runs during pool play (one of them being for 3 runs) so I can only assume that he hit at least one of the ones from today (they are not keeping big stats like that during bracket play like they did in pool play). Keep up the good work!! Playing the Brawlers tomorrow at 8:30am will be a tough task but you guys have not disappointed no matter whether you win or lose. Just keep having fun!!!

Looks like both the Rays & Vipers went down in their bracket games today, good runs but now the competition gets really stiff.

Final 4 of Legends, Brawlers, Megastars & San Diego Stars. We could see the Legends and Brawlers square off in the finals but the other 2 teams are very very good too. |

Both my picks fell in the semi's :( Its Charlotte Megastars vs. San Diego Stars in the finals.

I thought the Brawlers were great, but I am SHOCKED that the Legends didn't at least play in the ship... |

Looks like the Charlotte Megastars beat the San Diego Stars, gotta wonder how the EC Braves would of done there this year. |

would depend on if the braves picked up a couple stud pitchers, if they went up there with the team they have now, Id say they would of made it to the top 16 probably top 8 but the teams that usually win it, have taken their existing roster and added top stud pitcher(s) for those last few games in bracket, which I dont think the braves do(add players). If you go look at the Super NIT, the megastars and braves split, however, if you looked at the megastars roster for cooperstown, they added some kid that looks like he has played on 15 different teams up to 12 years old, must be a stud...= Champs! |

Ec braves would have been in final 4. I watched them go 1-1 against charlite and in my opinion ec braves were the better team. |

If charlotte added kid I think then nobody beats them in final. 10yr old throws 72-74mph. I didn't believe it until I saw it. |
