Saw some great ball this weekend. For early in the season, some real quality out there.
1. East Cobb Astros- keep them here for now, but close call with Elite Futures and losing to Tomahawks wasn't a great weekend. 2. Five Star Elite- Could easily take the #1 spot next time they come north. 3. East Cobb Colt 45's- Not a great weekend, could slide back with another early exit. 4. Homeplate Chili dogs- Typically start slow 5. Gamers- Anxious to see what they have 6. CR Baseball Red- Solid across the board 7. Signature Park Bears- Gave Five Star all they wanted 8. Meridian Panthers- Team most likely to move up big with another good showing 9. Outkast- Tough when on a roll 10. 6-4-3 Cougars- Wish they would of played
Hon Mention- ECB Giants- Will Drive you crazy Georgia Power- good win over Chili this weekend East Side Raiders- Cmon and play Georgia Jackets- Good brand of baseball Dacula- Bad look avoiding Triple Crown, then losing Grand Slam Team Elite Futures- Had their chance to knock off Astros

The Jackets are not Top 10, but a solid team.
The Top 10 looks like a good list. The Club and Dacula had a good showing last weekend before the rain so may climb up there. Elite Futures is looking like they can give top teams a run. East Side Raiders I think are now Titans Sports but not sure how much its the same team.
Looking forward to seeing how the SNIT plays out this weekend. Hope the rain holds off. |

This weekend at NIT it looked like some great competition with 6 of the top 8 being from Georgia. Colt 45's Navy won over Five Star out of Jacksonville so they look pretty good for a couple of first place votes. The SGSA Sharks represented south Ga well losing to the Colt 45's in a competitive game. Five Star Elite looked very good again also proving that there are some teams from outside the big cities that can compete.
Interesting that a number of the teams mentioned above went O-3 on the weekend including Ga Academy Power, Signature Park Bears and Outkast. Both 6-4-3 teams went 1-3 along with CR Red which may just mean that it is too early in the season to be worried about rankings or they may hold true. Should be fun to see how things shape up over the next several months as teams get their legs under them. |

Congrats to the 45s for keeping the NIT championship in GA and 5 Star Elite for another really strong showing.
bbsis, maybe your Jackets move into Top 10 at some point, who knows, it’s early. I was disagreeing with GA Bombers who said Jackets are not very good, but after two TC bracket losses this month to non Top 10 teams, I was also keeping it real that Jackets are a good team but aren’t Top 10. |

Anybody know the story with EC Giants this weekend? My son and I came Out to watch the TC final after his team got bounced and they were rolling, but TCS shows them losing 7-0 suggesting a forfeit of some type.

TC pitching log shows a Giants pitcher throwing 8 innings - 1 too many through 5 games. |

To those concerned:
I would like to address the rumors circulating about the 11u Championship game at our March Mayhem event. During the Championship game, a pitching infraction was discovered regarding one of the players, and that unfortunately caused the forfeit which gave the Championship to Team Georgia. Safety of our players is an integral part of not only our sport, but to the Southeast Triple Crown Franchise. This is the reason for having inning limits and safety guidelines under our TOURNAMENT RULES section of our website.
The East Cobb Giants were NOT disqualified for an illegal player.
Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hosting you and your families out there once again soon. |

Rankings of ALL Georgia.
1. Five Star Elite - Old Lynx guys 2. East Cobb Astros - Same Old. 3. East Cobb Colt 45’s Navy 4. 6-4-3 DP Cougars - Solid all around. 5. BigStix Gamers - Elite Gamers. 6. Home Plate Chili Dogs Mobley- Usually start off slow. 7. Outkast - Tough to beat when on a roll. 8. Signature Park Bears - Not enough arms. 9. Ocee Orioles - Team can hit and field. 10. Georgia Bombers Cohn - 3 STUD pitchers. Just depends who they pitch.

3up, Your list is pretty darn good, but the bottom needs some work. Teams that compete in the top tournaments and typically do very well: The Club, Meridian and GA Power Academy. All likely better than some you included. Also, just my opinion, the Gamers may be higher than listed. That team is very, very good. GPA had them beat yesterday and couldn't hold on.
As a rule, if a team isn't playing in the big boy tournaments, they aren't part of the discussion. Trophy chasing is for (). |

Last year my son was on the Premier Bears. We beat GAP in the one time we played them. If I recall correctly you’re with the Yankees? |

Be beat GAP about three weeks ago and beat Ocee two weeks ago at Aviation, but I don't include us in the bog dog discussion. Both games could have gone either way. At 11U, it feels like there are about 10 teams that have excellent coaches and are stacked with above average talent. Then there are another 10 or so teams that are fighting to compete with the big boys. The TC tourney this weekend is pretty much a list of the who's who. Gotta love when the top teams all face off. |

Triple Crown Tourney has many of these teams entered this weekend. Should be a good tournament. Any predictions out there? |

Bombers Cohn is the only one on that list that stood out. Not to say they are in any way a bad team, but its been awhile since I have seen them and the one truly exceptional arm they had I though moved away. GA Batmen are legit and should be near the top of any GA list. SGSA as well. GAP is a solid team for sure, but I agree the Club and Meridian are right there. |

They got 3 new pitchers this year. All of them throw about 60 mph. They are consistent as well. |

Last year they beat Sanders team 2 times. Sanders team this year has the exact same roster from last year. They beat them by 1 run both times. They also beat GAP once last year. They only lost to The Club 3-2. IMO they have gotten better than what they were last year. |

Five Star Elite beats the Astros by 3 runs in the ship. Should be a good tournament as long as the rain holds off. |

There is about 5-6 major teams in that tournament, then a lot of teams that are mid - high AAA. Then again these kids are only 11. Any thing can happen. |

GA Academy Power showed again that they deserve to be part of the Top 10 conversation. Some good wins in the Elite Invitational. ECB Giants and The Club are right up there too. |

We have a couple of family friends at GAP and keep up with them regularly. They've played good ball as of late and definitely deserve to be considered in the latter part of the top 10 list. Agree with Clearwater on some good wins for them, held off Ocee and 6-4-3 Cougars in the Invitational to make it to semis . They've recently had a couple of arm injuries so we will see how they hold up.
Ocee is deserving of consideration as well. Fundamentally sound group of kids that can swing it too.
Not sold on HP-Mobley or The Club thus far. |

diamonddawg844 I practice with this group twice a week and coach them every weekend in tournaments and I am not sold on them either. I will tell you this though I am sold on the fact that they love playing the game and they love playing with each other. I have had the same exact group for two years now and most of them for 3 years and this group of parents are the best. We may not win every weekend and we may not win a tournament all year, but I would not trade these boys for any other team out there. I think we too often get caught up in rankings and lose our focus on them developing and having fun. I just want them to enjoy the game and learn the game as much as they can before moving on to HS ball. There are several great teams out there in the 11U division and I dont know if we are one and dont care if we are as long as they enjoy the time we have together. |
