This is a pretty good group of teams. I'm sure there will be more. Buzz and Sharpsburg finished 1-2 in Peachtree City and haven't been added to the field as of yet.

There are alot of tough teams in this one. I like Crush, Iron Pigs, Mill Creek, or the GPA Hooks. It will depend on who is hot on sunday in this one.

The Hooks looked good last weekend. Maybe I'm a little partial since my kid is on the team. Acworth, Iron Pigs and Orange Crush are tough from what I've seen. I've been wanting to see the Bandits and Nitro play. I Hear they are pretty Good.

This will be fun to watch. Who ever takes this down will have beaten some good competition.

We split 2 games with the Nitro in Conyers the previous weekend. They're a good team with lots of speed. If we keep our heads in the game, we could be tough. Good Luck to all the teams!

Anyone know what happened to the Buzz? They played in both weekends of Sub-State and one this past weekend, but didn't get into the State Tournament.

I suspect that they chose not to participate for any number of reasons. For us, we were planning to do the Nations Post season tournaments but they didn't make and we have too many kids who could not play this weekend so we had to turn down our invitation. I know of another team who was invited but they are playing in a big tournament the next week in Florida so they chose to take the weekend off.

11 teams for a state tourney? I was hoping for 16. Looks like some tough matchups. Should be a great weekend. Not sure what happened to Buzz or Sharpsburg.

I was just thinking that if the Buzz played in BOTH Sub-State weekends, that they wanted to qualify and play State.

We're taking off the weekend after State and then heading to PCB July 3rd.

Its going to be a fun weekend. A few teams are playing their best ball of the season. Look for those to be around late Sunday (Carroll Co., Nitro, Mill Creek).

the tournament provided the baseballs and would not allow our team to provide ourselves and whoever we played to use USSSA sanctioned leather baseballs, you know the ones with USSSA stamped on them. have you ever tried to make a plastic baseball with little or no seams have movement.

we finished I guess you could say 4th loseing to a very good Line drive team in the semis. I would not say any of our games were decided by the umpires, but man these were the worst umpires I have ever seen. One group thopught it was legal for a right handd pitcher to toe the rubber, come set, raise his left leg, pause and throw ove to first. when our coach asked him about it he said "Left handed pitchers do it",Long as they dont break the plain. I think I heard a 1 year old being pushed in a stroller by his mother yell balk on this.

Line Drive baseball had some of the best sportsmanship ive seen to date. we look foward to seeing them agian this weekend in the summer nationals in Brunswick.

I actually saw two different times that these balls acted completely bad. One of our players hit a pop fly down the third base line and you could see the ball morph into an oval! The last out of our second game, another player hit a hard ground ball and you could actually hear it pop when it hit the ground. Almost like it broke inside.

We were told the park supplied the balls and we couldn't use our own.

Although we didn't participate in the tournament this weekend, my son and I drove up on Saturday just to watch some good baseball and we were there for about 5 minutes when he looked at me and said "Dad, why are they playing with T-Balls?". I hadn't even noticed, but he was right...when the bat hit the ball you could tell it was not a normal ball and it did sound a lot like the more rubber balls that we played with when he was 5.
