| One interesting thing to note is we got very close to having the top 6 teams end up with a tie. (Had the Astros/Titans game completed in the 8th). Showing a lot of good competition from these teams. |

To come back and play a single game championship 3 weeks to a month later takes all the fun out of it. You can't go back to the momentum a team has, or set their pitchers and hitters back to where they were. Everyone would have a differently rested team and seems to be disconnected from the original tournament.
BTW, the bracket play of the 15U AABC, which was about 2 weeks before the 14U hasn't been played either.
The rain, during that time, was very difficult on inter-week play. |
