Paulding Cty has outscored their opponents 84-6 through 5 games.

That's an average of 16.8-1.2 for those of us keeping track at home.

Wow.

Looks like the Vipers ran out of runs. Appears to have been a good ballgame.

Yep, PCV played some impressive baseball but got beat in the semi finals by the ECB Longhorns by 1. That's baseball.

The ECB Longhorns won the tournament. This is one scrappy team. Don't ever count them out. Congrats! to the Longhorns and to all the teams that participated this weekend. GREAT WEEKEND OF BASEBALL.

No. Lost by 1 to the eventual champs. Looks like it was a good game.

Longhorns have had a good year themselves.

Other than the Longhorns being the Vipers, which was a monumental task by itself, the real story of the weekend is the tiny fields (300ft or less all the way around) and poor pitching mounds resulting in a large number of HRs. Fly ball hitters were licking their chops.

I looked at their website this morning and the Longhorns hit 12 home runs in 7 games in this tourney. They had hit 10 in their previous 43 games. I honestly wished I knew how many the Vipers hit. 14 year olds in any type of a state tournament should not be playing on tiny fields with portable mounds. I hope that this changes for next years class.

Congratulations the Longhorns for pitching well enough to win the whole thing. That is where this thing was won.

Fields were small, but small for everyone. longhorns with 13 HRS but only gave up 4. Looks as if pitching and defense was the deciding factor. Sounds like a good formula no matter what size field you are playing on.

300 foot hits on a real 14 year olds field are just cans o corn

Temporarry mounds arent a big deal tho it can hold back a pitchers stride if they have long legs.
