I am anxious to see how they do this season in travel ball. When do they start getting into tournaments? Looks like it was late May of last year. |

After LL regular season (probably around the third week in May). They are not allowed to play any travel until their season concludes (park rules)... |

From their web site: Last International (10's and 11's) Rec league games are Saturday, May 8th. Then, the NYO league playoffs run from May 10th-26th. District tourney begins June 17th, States begin July 1st, World Series July 14th. It all depends upon how far they go, and if they are able to squeeze a tourney in between all these other time frames.
I'm not sure if, and when, they split the 10's from the 11's during post season play.
You'd need a NYO insider to get clearer info, but I think even they'd say they don't know just yet when they'll be able to get outside of Dizzy Dean play to compete with the rest of us.

No insider but i think they got two divisions. Major league is probably where the travel teams will come from. I looked on there site and recognized some names that were 10 that played with the 12's last year in league play. I have no idea how they do it but they got some talent to work with over there and will beat some teams. Last year at 10 they had three teams a dizzy dean team, a Double A team and then the toros which I thought was a major team. Last year at 11 they had two teams one that played travel and one that played dizzy dean I think. They will come out and play especially there number one team which is tough to beat. Should be a welcome edition to the circuit... |

There's an NYO team - the Drillers - listed as playing in the GrandSlam event in PCB, FL June 17-20. |
