The Bay Bombers 11u win Big in the Tallahassee USSSA Global WS Qualifier playing up in the 12u division. The Bombers scored 43 runs on 53 hits in 5 games. The team beat one 12u major team 9 to 2 and was crowned champion of this event.

The Bombers are trying to prepare for the great teams they will face this weekend in East Cobb at the TC Spring Frost. All we hope is that we can compete with the high caliber teams that Ga. puts together.

atta boy Bombers! Hope I get to see you guys play next weekend and the weather repeats itself. I'm partial, but I think the 11u group is the most spirited of them all.

I agree with moser and Papa can't wait to manuver his way through the 12 year old minefield and get back to the best division in all of Georgia baseball. moser, these 12's are big, strong, and tough but we held our own although it did get a little wobbly at times.

Congrats to 10BB and the Bombers. I can't wait to see you guys. Be sure and look me up or give me a call so we can go out to eat between some of the games. We won't see you this week but hopefully we will share the same park so I can get to do some scouting for the Super NIT. Good Luck this week. Dont take these Georgia teams lightly as there is some talent there that could give you a big challenge if you are not ready.

Papa; I never take the teams in Ga. lightly, we have never been very successful against the teams from your state. I just hope the expectations of the teams from Ga. will not be to high on the Bombers, in the end they are just 11yr old kids and sometimes us parents get to caught up in who's the best and who's the favorite. Our goal is to make it to Disney again and try to do better than we did last year. If we win this weekend great if we lose so be it but at least we will be working towards that ultimate goal.

10BB, That's the attitude that I wish we all had but you are absolutely right in that we all let the winning now thing cloud our view of the ultimate goals that we all set at the beginning of each year.

I hate to take things off track, but the spirit of this string is consistent with what I saw tonight. 7:30 practice, 45 degrees at best with a 10-15 mph breeze. Feels like temp in the mid 30's.

The coaches design a "keep them moving" practice regimen, and the boys had a blast and got some great reps in. True, the parents nearly froze to death, but we complained in jest. 2 minnows (boys) got eaten by sharks in our base running drill, and laps were dished out often for miss-played balls to the outfield or for missing the cutoff man. The crowd went wild when great plays were made. The boys try much harder if they know the peanut gallery is watching.

Doesn't get any better than this. I love this game.
