If the schedule works and the Gamers Blue and Red play each other it will be fun. The red got it's pick of kids and the rest were shipped over to the blue. I hear that the Blue has 12 kids who think they should have been picked.
While the red has more talent on the roster the blue has kids who are working there butts off. It will be an early season test for both. |

I know you are familiar with a couple of kids on the Gamers Red. How good are the other Bandits (west Ga) can they match up with the pitching?
Also dont sleep on the Gamers Blue. They have 2 big arms that might sneak up and bite one of them.quote:

bturner, I am not very familiar with the WG Bandits other than the time we played against them last year. Like you, I am pulling for the Gamers Red partly for sentimental reasons. We played the WG Bandits twice last year and they showed a lot of poise and determination both times. They were well coached and very disciplined. They also had some very spirited parents as I remember.
Gamers Red have picked up at least one top tier player in JH and the knowledge of his Dad/coach. When I saw them last, they were very strong and I expect they will be a top 10 team in GA this year. I really wish I could be there to watch all of these games. |

I agree they did get better with JH. They also added two others that I know and they will help the cause. They also added one that I think Titan 1 knows. How good is BV Titan 1?
If he is as good as advertised they could be special. What about you guys Titan 1? When and where are you guys playing?
My 10's will be at the park so I will keep you guys updated. I am sticking with my dark horse Gamers Blue in a big surprize. |

I'll go with 2009's #3 ranked AAA team who run-ruled the Elite Gamers Red 13-0 at States.

| bmoser, they must have been a different color back then. Man, I wish people would stop changing their team names. You may be onto something with this pick. We (the Bandits) played one of the SS teams at the TC State tourney and they played well. I think the final score was 6 to 2 or something like that. Very competitive team for sure. This tourney is really beginning to sound like a good one. If the GPA Hooks are anywhere near as competitive as the other 3 teams, there could be some really close games played. |

| WG bandits all the way,they were pretty good last year as a first year team.they are even better this year very deep in pitching and kids that can crush the ball |

This is not the same Gamers Red team. Check the roster they have uploaded by 5. If they can play defense enough they will hit and they can pitch. Tbhey have 2 elite level pitchers and 2 more that will be pretty good. The only question I have is there defense. If they play average defense they will be very good.

Sharon Springs-Silver was #3 ranked 10U AAA team at the end of last year. They are now SS Black. Not overpowering in any aspect of the game, just all around solid with nice depth. SS Black have pretty much the same team they had last year so if Elite Gamers Red upgraded a lot, SS Black may have gotten passed by. SS Silver/Black beat Gamers twice in '09 outscoring them 27-6, so we'll get to see if Gamers upgrades will be enough.
I'll stick with SS Black, just because nobody else picked them, and because they play in our league and are from a neighboring park. Gotta go with my sentimental favorite when there's no 2010 data to use. |

Bv might be the best defensive third basemen in the state unless you want to move him to second then he might be the best second baseman in the state. He has a great glove and is a very good kid. He does not pitch but he is the best player on the Gamers Red bar none. He has a great bat, can struggle at times but when he is on he is ON. can run with the best of them. I hate he does not play with us anymore.......... call me Bo so I can tell you how he got on the gamers. Very interesting story.

Wow, what a total surprise and hats off to the Dacula Falcons for going so deep in this one. Gwinnett cluster team, who'd have picked them? Not even a Gwinnett homer like me. SS Black was my pony, but they pulled up lame. 1 more week of hoops in Forsyth might be a sound excuse. But, Dacula played Peachtree Ridge in travel hoops today, so maybe Dacula was hobbling too. Too early to place much emphasis on this one, but perhaps some foreshadowing for us to project from. Are Gwinnett cluster teams becoming competitive?

No faith in me yet? I saw that one coming. Gamers Red win it.
They gave up 3 runs on Sunday. I told you they uploaded. I will be fun to see how they compare with the big boys.
There toughest game was the West Ga Bandits and it took a big effort from the kid Bandit 13 and I were talking about. Have a little faith in me. Did you guys play this weekend? |

| never posted before but have to defend Gwinnett County a bit here....Dacula, Collins Hill, North.. Mill Creek and the rest play some good baseball... congrats to the Dacula 11U team for their work this weekend... |

Nice job BTurner! They were clearly the best team out there this particular weekend.
We played a scrimmage game vs 12U team up in Northern Forsyth County, and kept it very close. I know there were at least 2 other 11U scrimmages in Northern Gwinnett, so just because you don't see a team in a tourney, don't think they aren't playing somewhere. |
