Papa do you think that playing up has made you guys stronger or has in a way made you a little weaker because of the strain in almost every game. Are your arms holding up? Have you guys put to much strain on your arms this early in the season.
justin case - Thank you for your post and the answer is yes to both. I do believe that we have gotten stronger in that we did not have the chance to coast as we sometimes do in the 11U division. It was a war every single out and that should make us stronger. I worry more about the arm thing in that we are having so many problems in this department. 3 of our top pitchers did not pitch one inning and against Sharon Springs we were forced to pitch a position player as we were completely out of pitching and this is the first time that this has ever happened since our 9u year. They took great delight in taking the ball yard but I can assure them that the sun doesn't shine in the same dog's rear all the time and that they will soon reap for they sowed and I just hope that I am there when the sun changes direction. The Astros took care of a little of this for Papa but they have a lot more coming. I wish you had asked that if we had it do over would we do it again and I would almost bet if you polled all of the Bandits and the Bandits parents that you would have a split vote.

This parent would definitely do it over again. One of the main reasons we joined the Bandits is to see better competition. We definitely saw some great competition in the past 3 weekends. At times it's frustrating and other times it's exhilarating. Isn't that how the game is supposed to be ??
I told you justin case. Baseball is like riding a roller coaster with its ups and downs. I can't speak for the other parents but I feel the same as Bandits13 and would not take anything for the experience. There were pros and there were drawbacks but overall I count it as a great experience not only due to the competition but we all met a ton of new baseball friends in the 12U division that were gracious enough to encourage and support our efforts. We have now expanded our world and have some really great 12U teams such as the Astros, Jaguars, and Roadrunners and even the Stixx out of Albany, Ga. that we became good friends with and we will look forward to seeing how they progress each week. The Bandits main concern at this point is to get the kids healthy again.
Bandits will start the year out with a even bigger bullseye on their back than normal this year with the Pre-Season #1 Travel Ball Select ranking. It's nice to even be considered for this honor as there are many other teams that are just as capable as the Bandits and I imagine that they will be looking up us soon.
Bandits first week off turns out to be a wash out for all of the teams so at least for the first week we did not miss anything. The third week was our off week anyway so if the Super NIT in Atlanta gets good weather it will be the only tournament that we miss. And if the weather stays like it has been the Bandits will be a little healthier without missing any tournaments. We should now be back up to 8 healthy players with two more coming back on board in 2 weeks.
