Not knowing these out of state teams they must be pretty good if traveling this far to play baseball. Looks to be pretty competitive. I only see one or two teams that might be over matched.

I will be very interested to see how this tournament shakes out also. Especially if the Bandits get into it.

That will be the biggest weekend of the Fall season. Besides the Triple Crown event, Grand Slam and Nations will also have nice draws on the last big hoorah of the Fall campaign.

I'll take the MC Hit Dogs in the TC event, Mill Creek Red in Winder, and Collins Hill in Snelleville (if GA Select-Red decides to play local, I'll take GS-Red in Snelleville).

Is the East Cobb Scorpions playing this fall. Have they changed their name to protect the innocent or will they still be known as the Scorpions.

(GA Select Red), tough to play being we are missing 2 to FB. I will have my 11U's playing that weekend....Navy will be at Snellville or Winder and Red will play somewhere if I can work around football. By the way...not sure which 11U is better...Red or Navy. Won't know until Spring and we start our Spring routine.

There could be multiple sites, depending upon how many teams enter, but this one is the best for viewing games.

Papa, you don't have to go looking for the Scorpions, they are out there & are still the Scorpions. They are sort of the same team with a few additions. If you have any questions, you can call Coach Steve. Hated to hear that you guys didn't make the St. Augustine trip.

If there was a 11u tournament you would pay to see, who would be in it? Give me your top 15 teams going into 2010, no certain order, just top 15 or so.

I talked to my good friend Coach Steve and got an update. When Coach Steve gets quiet you can bet he's up to something and Papa always keep an eye on him in case he tries to pull a rabbit out of the hat. I know what additions you have made and know that the Scorpions will be one of the tougher teams around in 11U in 2010

Good Luck.

While I don't know this for sure, I expect that most 11u games will be played at East Cobb Baseball and not ATPP, which is on the smaller side for 11u teams. I do agree that ATPP is the absolute best place to watch a game.

Yeah anything under 225 for 11U is on the small side. 250 for 12U.

Good question? I have asked about the lower fields 11, 12 and have never found anyone that really knows. Anyone want to make a guess.

Georgia teams I'd like to see play:
"City Boys" Sandtown, 6-4-3 Cougars, 6-4-3 Jags, Team Georgia, Holly Springs Express, Georgia Select-Red, NYO Toros, EC Scorpions, GA Jackets-Gold, EC Titans, EC Stars, Chilidogs.

"Country Boys" Bandits, Warner Robbins LL (11U all stars), Cartersville Rookies LL, Columbus LL(11U all stars), Chain Dirt Dawgs, Georgia Force (Tifton), Prime Time, STIXX (if they're still active), Georgia Redbirds, Troup County Dixie Youth All Stars (2009 DY World Series champs), Lee County all stars (Dixie Youth State 2nd place).

I'd pay to see a 11U "Battle of Georgia" where the top 12 ATL metro (City boys) take on the top 12 teams from the rest of the State (Country boys) held in Savannah on a 3-day Holiday weekend. After the Championship game, the best 12 players are selected from each group, and they play a showcase game. Games Friday & Saturday, beach day Sunday (no baseball), showcase game and skills contest Monday.

In AA/AAA, I'd like to see a League bragging rights tourney between the top 4 GGBL, LBL, & NWBA teams

I think somewhere about 260- 280 and you have a good amount of space behind homeplate. I know it'll take a big stick to get the ball out. If we can't get the rain to stop, it won't matter.

Just for fun,who gets the easy draw in this one. Last year it was the scorpions. Does that trend continue?

Bandits appear to coming to the Triple Crown Fall State tournament. I just hope our football players hit and pitch well and do not tackle any of your hitters. Remind them when they get there what they are playing.

We expect to have a lot of fun so take it easy on us.
