Ok so we are moving up to 13U this year and several parents brought up Omaha as a possible destination this year. Can any of you that went tell me about your experience. Would you do it all over again if you got the chance?
Omaha was awesome in my opinion and yes my family would do it again. We actually took our RV up and stayed at Wilson Island State Park and that was incredible as well. The venues were run well in our opinion and I was expecting far worse fields than what we saw. The Omaha ZOO is a must and sits in same parking lot as Rosenblatt. Word to the wise - get tickets like now if possible so you can get at least a set of reserved seats for a game. Should experience that.
Did Omaha as 13 year olds in 2009 and will do it again as 14 year olds in 2010. Great time, good steaks, the tournament is well run and you play during the day and attend the college world series at night.
We went Omaha when our son was 12 and had the time of our lives.Initially, when I was told we will be playing in Omaha my response was OMG why Omaha.Some of the best food I have ever eaten.Among the nicest people any where in the country.And especially the College World Series the last year for the old stadium it should be very exciting.Oh by the way, we will be playing in the 16yr.old bracket. If it is run like the 12yr.old tournament we are looking forward too a great time !!!!!!!!
