Anyone use this bat in 2012? We are moving from (-10) to a (-8) this season. Specs on this bat look good but I would like some feedback from anyone that has used it before.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated. |

I think that bat is very hot. Out of the wrapper it has great pop. Justbats was having a sale on them about a month ago. |

Is that from personal experience or have you seen someone else on the team with one? I saw that same sale on JustBats and wanted to check before we ordered it. |

My son uses a Combat B3 -8 and a Marucci Black 2 -8 when not allowed to use composite. He swung the new XL2 for a week or two before hand and likes the Marucci better. But he LOVES his Combat. |

Just wondering, when are kids NOT allowed to use composites? If the bat has the 1.15 stamp isn,t it good to go in any event?

Just bought the XL2. Love it. Seems like a good bat. Reviews are mixed on the web though. Anybody else have this bat for any length of time? |

It's mostly in leagues where they can't. Dizzy Dean banned all composite bats. |

We have two swinging the Marucci black 30/22 -8 on our 11u team. Bat is hot and both have multiple home runs in two tourneys this spring using the bat. Ball comes off bat very well. Most of the others swing the New S1 Easton and love it, hot as well. From what I have seen you can't go wrong with it. |

In middle school this year they banned composite unless it's a -3 BBCOR. So he uses his Black 2 for that and cold temps. |

That ban is old and to my knowledge no longer in effect. Many parents in DD organizations were upset because they changed their bat rules at least twice over a two year period. The bat specifications in the 2013 rule book are the ones now in effect. For ages 5-12, bats must meet BPF 1.15 and be clearly marked as such, BBCOR bats are also allowed. For ages 13-19, bat must meet BBCOR and be clearly marked as such. |
