The way the tourney is set up you can come in second or third in the pool and still only play the same number of games on sunday as the Pool winner. Could be some strategy involved, so the Pool Winners might be off a little from the expected.
Legends is a real good team. NYO is an all-star team I think and should be well coached. There are some unknowns, like the Biscuits, Stingers, and Boundary Waters. Anybody know anything about those teams?? Overall, I think the Champ will come out of Pool A. I gotta go with the Crush winning the rings in the ship against the Legends.

Where are the Legends from? Is this the Diamond Academy Lengends from Dalton?
Also who are the Diamonds?
Pool C goes to Acworth or FCA unless one of the two unknowns in that pool jump up and bite them. |

Stingers are an all star team. I don't expect them to make a run.
NYO this isn't the #1 team but past experience tells us we should never take the NYO bunch lightly. Usually fundamentally solid. Question will be do they have the pitching depth to make it thru this big of a tournament .
Biscuits. Never heard of them
Boundary Waters. 11u team. Heard good things about them. Don't think they will be good enough to win a 12u tournament.
Just because I think the Crush will win the pool don't mean I think they got the pitching depth to win a tournament this big. I see only a two or three teams with enough pitching to get to the ship but each of them has questions of there own.
My money would have to go on the Legends |

Legends are the Winston Legends. No doubt the best team in the tournament this weekend.
Diamond academy legends are a AAA team
The Diamonds in this tournament is the ATPP Diamonds. |

| The Allstar teams may do well in this. Just because they are unknowns. I never under estimate these teams. They like to push that chest out and I don't blame them. I would do the same. However, pitching will prevail for the champion. Does anyone know the field depths at the Acworth complex? |

One team has dropped out. There is all new updated info out now. Team just dropped out last night. I think it was the Wolfpack.

The legends are the "Braves Legends" that practices out of Winston. I don't want to be nick picky but they use to be the winston legends last year. Totally different team than the old winston legends. Come this fall they may be the Yankee Legends...who knows? They wear the Braves Legends uniforms with "Braves Legend names and numbers on the back of jersey" Coolest concept ever for a team name. They can change from season to season. Braves legends, Dodgers legends, Red Sox legends........and so on. Good luck to all the teams. I am excited to play this weekend in a 20 team pool. That is awesome. Good job director and Acworth park for getting this turn out. Please have good UMPS! |

My bad! Didn't realize you were the Braves Legends that Plays out of Winston and not the Winston Legends. How could I confuse that?
According to the Acworth website
Field 1 is 200'
Field 2 is 250'
Field 3 is 250'
Field 4 is 235'
We have played several tournaments at this complex over the past few seasons. Nice facilities and a good place to play baseball. |

| I saw 6 or 7 homeruns on that field today. IMO it messes up their at bats. All the boys start swinging for the fences. Well run tourney so far. Royals, Chilidogs, Buccaneers, Roadrunners, and FCA Patriots all undefeated in pool play. |

| Pool A ended up being the strongest. Final 4 - Georgia Scrappers, Legends Baseball, Cartersville Crush, and the Allatoona Buccaneers. The Buccaneers won it 6-3 in the Championship over the Cartersville Crush. Nicely run tournament. The games ran on time and the umpiring was above par. Good facility. Only negatives were that one of the fields was 200' and there was a lot of bubble gum on the ground to step in. lol |
