Bandits lose to a Georgia team for the first time in over two years. And I believe the EC Luck was the first East Cobb team to beat the mighty Bamdits ever. Congrats!

Team FL beat the Bandits in the final 7 - 5. I am sure that was an awesome game and I am sorry I missed it as two heavty weights slugged it out.
On a more dissapointing note. Shame on you USSSA! The gate fees were $10 adult and $8 kids AND they wouldn't allow coolers in. I witnessed a couple of families nearly in tears at the additional cost. With the cost of travel ball + the $600 tournament entry fee + the travel and hotel fees, this lack of appreciation for the sacrifice families make so thei kids can play this great game is disgusting. As one parent said this week "U triple screw you". We made a decision as a team to boycott concessions for the tournament and not attend Super NITs again unless this changes. |

Papa worded his earlier post very poorly and it was pointed out in another forum. East Cobb Luck beat the Bandits between the lines and I should not second guess their strategy as I know very little about their team. I apologize if my comments seemed negative as that was not my intent. East Cobb Luck played lights out and gave my Bandits the chance to see two great pitchers in one game and that in itself will make us better down the road. |

Baseball Papa-I got a chance to meet you briefly in the hotel breakfast area Sun morning. Although you already know it, your kids are a class act. I have followed your team from afar (we are not in your age group) and finally got a chance to observe your boys, not on the field, but "hanging out" and for a team w/such a pedigree they carry themselves extremely well. I know your used to winning everything, but as you already know, this will make them comeback stronger. Must be something about that Ringgold area, b/c the 10U Buzz are a class act also. |

This is the exact reason why everyone should stop playing USSSA and just play Triple Crown, Nations, Grand Slam, etc., or just start our own association. Start a blog for it!

Actually, I think it's good when a great team gets beat.. It puts things back into perspective and gives the kids something to strive for. Sometimes when we always win, we become bigger than the game... Any team, on Any given day can be beat...

Well said mama that loves baseball. Papa has been saying for years that there are many 13U teams capable of beating my Bandits. This is not the first time we have been beat nor do I assume it will be the last. There is as much or more to learn from the losses and if you let the loss motivate you it will end up being a positive thing. I can assure that our kids are much more motivated today than they were Friday and that can only be a good thing. |
