This event is now up to 17 teams and climbing as teams chase the E32 bid. Here's a list of notables:
Upstate Drive (SC) Carolina Red Sox (NC) Bolton (TN) RBI Rangers (TN) Mayhem Bad Boys (Ga) HPlate (Ga) Renegades (Ga) Atl BJays ( Ga) Signature Park (Ga)
Lou Holtzs team is the favorite the way they are playing right now. A lot of teams want to get that bid next weekend b/c Alabama SNIT in Auburn will be a war of attrition. Good luck to all our Ga brothers. Maybe the all knowing SW can chime in.

BTW, I can't see that far with the Renegades staring us in the face. |

BB...."The all knowing SW"...lol Yaw are KILLIN me.
Come on guys, you gotta hit me up so I know who I'm dealing with here...hahahaha
I'm more like "Regular Guy" than all knowing.
Anyways, I would TOTALLY agree with you BB that it might be an easier road through Kingsport than Auburn; I'd make my stand there. But it won't be easy.
Bolton came on strong last year at the E32 as did the RedSox although it looks like these teams are a little different from then.
RBI and the Bluejays are E32 from last year as well and they know what it takes to get it done.
All these teams have some really nice parts but may be missing some pieces.
Question, is anybody willing to "mix it up" so they can load up and get it done?

Upstate is a solid team but never seems to do well in the big tourneys in bracket. CRed Sox-same thing, they went last year to E32 fared well but this years SNIT showings (Atl and Greensboro) they have not done well in bracket also. Atl BJays- this is my pick to come thru in TN. I don't think they are entered in Auburn (could be wrong) and Auburn is almost filled (1 spot left). Not to say if BJays don't get it done in TN they can't go other places, just will be harder. Sig Park-u guys already know my opinion on that one, it's Holtzs to lose. He will be even stronger with his new p/up. Renegades- don't sleep on this team or they will bite u. I know they haven't had the season they have wanted so far but like Renegade1 said it can turn around on a second. Too much talent and pitching on that team.
SW- I have heard of teams "mixing it up" ie, I assume u mean adding on players for the E32. I haven't heard of teams adding them just to go to a SNIT to qualify. If a kid goes to a SNIT and that team wins the I don't think he can play w/ his team in any UTrip tourneys the rest of the season and a E32 qualified team HAS to play in their State tourney to be go to E32. Let me know if I'm wrong on that one. |

BB - You're right on that one. So there in lies the question. Do you add quality players NOW so you can get E32 qualified or do two or three solid teams all missing some parts, all fail to qualify E32 all knowing they may be missing 2 or 3 arms, bats, and gloves?
Tough situation but an assessment that has to be made for those who "would be" E32 bound. |

Congrats to Home Plate for getting the E32 bid. Looked like a great tourney. Good run by the Renegades making the semis; Tough tourney for Atl Blue Jays going down in 1st round. Signature Park with a great run, coming up just short in the finals.
Auburn in 2 weeks should be fun, looks like a Atl SNIT type field. |

I'm certain there was a good reason but it was pretty disappointing to see the tournament ran almost 2 hours behind with open field space all over the place on Saturday and Sunday....especially with a very late scheduled 7:30 championship game. That made for a difficult late night 5 hour commute which was a real treat for the Ga teams. |

That's absolutely crazy hshuler. The Tournament Director put a lot of people in a bad situation because of poor planning and lack of organization. I heard ya'll had a game that the umpires were told to go to the wrong park by the TD!! |

BD - I don't know what the real story was but I heard that they were told 10AM start times. One showed up and said he'd call balls and strikes from behind the pitcher..."no thanks, we'll wait Sir!"
The thing that really set everything back was scheduling the winner of a 9AM game to play at 10:45 at a park that was 30 minutes away...unbelievable!
After we won at 9AM we were supposed to play at 2PM, so we show up at 1PM. When we get to the park the schedule said 3:45PM...and I think we started the game at 5:38PM.

HS! HS....that is crazy that you got home at 5:15am. Did they not start any bracket play Saturday night? Pitiful bracket updates as well and couldn't believe the Blue Jays got bounced so early when I found it online. USSSA could learn something from Triple Crown with the pocket updates to the phones. Speaking of Triple Crown...this weekend ought to be real good baseball....and it is in town. Big shout out to the Parrish Piranhas out of Fla. for making the trek to the ATL to see what we're all about. Safe travels boys.

Nice Run by GA teams. That USSSA TD is a train wreck. We played in a tournament in Knoxville a couple of weeks ago and our 830pm game started at 1045pm. We finished at 1205am with another game starting after ours. I dont understand why they always run behind. All TD need to lessons from Toney. |

Hobby,
I don't know about open fields on Saturday night but I know that they had a few open ones on Sunday morning.
This weekend should be a good one. We'd love to be in the middle of it all but we need a weekend off. Are you guys playing in it?
Beagles,
A game started after midnight? Wow! |

Hob!
Our kids are getting the weekend off...no practices/no scrimmages/absolutely no baseball! We are going to let them recharge so that hopefully they can be refreshed and ready for Auburn.
Well wishes to you guys this weekend!

Just logging on for the first time. Outside of the game delays, the tournament was and well played and well represented. The finals game was definitely one for the ages from the first pitch to final out. Congrats to both Home Plate and Signature Park for making 10-U baseball so much fun. Atlanta will once again be well represented again in the E-32 WS. Rest up all. |

A Sig Park, Renegades or possibly a Buzz win in Auburn would add a nice addition to the E32. Call me crazy, but other than Mayhem out of Dothan, it doesn't look like there is a real challenger in this one for our GA teams.
I do have a question though. Let's say a team who has already qualified for E32, (EC Braves for example)wins the NIT in Auburn and the runner up hasn't qualified, does the runner up get the nod to the E32? If not, what happens to the slot?
Also...just curious if anyone is going to make the trip back to Orange Beach in early June if you don't get the win in Auburn? Looks like a light field of teams for that one and could be a great chance. Why is this NIT so light on teams...only 5 signed up at this point. |

The runner up does get the bid, if a team makes the finals vs any team that has already qualified for E32.
Buzz has quietly been working on their game up in North Ga and TN. Mostly playing up in 11s. They won a 11U open tourney last weekend.
Atl Blue Jays- now that's a tough one to figure out. All the talent in the world, between them and the Stars, it looks like that's all they will play this year is SNIT.
Gamers seem to be the "in" pick these days maybe they win it. A sleeper to watch out for is the Alabama Patriots. They got classified early in the year as a AAA but has since been moved up and have had strong tourney showings including beating the EC Astros in Florence.
It will be very interesting to see who chases the bid down to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Realistically it's the last SNIT close enough to our GA teams. Do the Atl Stars, Signature Park and NGa Renegades go back down there? |
