Bob,
You are absolutely correct...I disagree. I appreciate the compliment but these are some great teams with outstanding resumes...so I don't understand how we could be considered the clear favorites. Our kids have been working hard and we hope that it shows in our play this weekend.

This is a nice field of teams.
Obviously, there is only one CLEAR pick-em here.
Gotta go with undeniable favorite, the sure bet, can't lose, no-way no-how, bet-the-farm, throw in all the chips:

"From no love to all love" SW you are as fickle as they come. I'm sure you and the boys from 643 will be in the hunt. It should be fun and by the way no matter happens we are just happy to be mentioned.
I think the best that happened through this post is we found out that SW is not some creepy guy WITH NO DOG IN THIS FIGHT cruising NWBA but a dad like the rest of us.

One fun thing about this site is the good nature ribbing. On the other hand some posts are very predictable. Shuler, I get it, you don't want to be the favorite, could see that a mile away. Fact of the matter is, you are. Yes, every team in the tourney could win it, but no one is coming off a strong showing like you are 2 weekends ago @ BBrawl. I also think you got even stronger since then .643 is the other one playing "hot" right now. The other is the Braves, if their bats are on they will do fine. Shuler again good luck and don't play the Lou Holtz card so often. |

It should be a great weekend of baseball for all the boys regardless of who wins. The whole objective of playing travel ball is for the boys to play against quality competition and get better. And playing in tournaments with this level of talent will do just that. Good luck to all!quote:

Bob, did you not hear Dennie Green's rant after they lost to the Bears on MNF? I'm not "crowning" anyone before the tourney...especially not our team. I'll promise you this much...we'll give it the "old college try."

CB, ask anybody that knows me, I don't have a dog in this fight...really. My son is 10 but we play 11u ball..I just keep up with it because I know a lot of the 10u guys, teams, parents, players, coaches.
You guys just need to go out and win: big, little, extra-innings whatever.
You're really upset with the #5 ranking aren't you...lol
I tell you what, win it this weekend and I promise you a no-less-than #3 ranking next week....
HS - Man you need to be running for governor or pres or something...lol
I like your humbleness....however, we all know baseball has a way of humbling the best!!! That's what's so great about it.
Just think, if we could get part-4 of the ECB vs. SPT saga...that would be a great weekend for sure.

Come on Memphis! That was the easy road. I know you have crunched the numbers and done all your homework on injuries and sore arms. If the Dawgs don't make it to the ship in their home stadium I will be surprised. I will go out on a limb and say my top 4 for the weekend are as follows....Renegades...SP...Copperheads and Dawgs. Just have a feeling it is time for a few middle of the pack teams and a couple of honorable mentions to rise up and take one of these tournaments. Anyone hear that Falcons jingle in the background or was it just me?

| Hoping to have the schedule for our tournament soon. It was completed last night but several teams have requested changes so we are waiting for some teams to reply. I will be happy to post the information here when we have it. |

In the spirit of the upcoming NFL Draft, I would like to trade down for value purposes. I would gladly trade our (very unofficial) #3 ranking for just one of your tournament wins. So, you can move up to number three right now, we'll take the 5 spot...and you keep the other three 'ships. Deal? :-)

Love all the chatter! The brackets will be out tonight. We indeed have had four hundred scheduling requests and have had to change it multiple times. Who knew a 10 team tournament could be such a challenge to schedule?! Bottom line is that not everyone will jump for joy for their pool matchups, because it's impossible, but we will have fun- I can promise you that.
Ps- Dunwoody Dragons have filled the Millcreek spot. Kudos to them for wanting to mix it up! |

I'm just trying to keep up with all the sarcasm. That's what humorus about this whole thing. Now that the pressure is off of us we are just happy to be invited and the goal this weekend is to get on SW top 3 which with the exception AP and USA Today is the next best poll. |

| Man I'm so happy to see some action. This board was so quiet I thought we were in church. Now if everybody could stop being so nice it will get really good. Last year there was nothing but posts about how the Yarddogs were the best. This year nobody wants a bullseye on there head. So who believes there team is the best? I'm still sticking with the Braves & Astros until someone upsets them |
