It just keeps getting better. Good teams on both sides. Where are the Stealth, Braves and Team Florida?

Astros looking really good per my counterpart up in the Atl.

Any predictions?

I agree from the Georgia side. From the Florida side, it is hard to say. Based on the format, the Florida rep and Georgia rep with the best records after pool play will play a 2 out of 3 game series for the championship. That could mean 7 games over the course of 2 days. Pitching depth will be key in deciding the winner of this unique tournament.

Good luck to all teams.

Yep, Whos got the most arms and most importantly, how many of them are on for the weekend. I know we have enough, Its just a matter of weather they are on when their name is called. Should be fun to watch.

Astros vs TPX in championship. I think TPX has the most pitching depth in the Florida pool.

With no dog in the fight. I will go with Blue Claws and Astros in the ship. With a little bit of local homerism thrown in for good measure. My apologies in advance if i offend anyone.

Astros-Coach Wes is a great leader and will have them ready. The are improving by the minute. Defense and bats setting the night on fire (pardon the pun). Saw and met them at Lake City SNIT and they had the talent and if improving like we hear and see on the blog then they are a force to be reckoned with.

Blue Claws-Would have won last week had the Stealth not been in the way. For sure had the hardest bracket to overcome. Noted pick up will be in attendance this week from what we hear. They did get stronger with exodus. If bats stay hot and the pick up can pitch as advertised then they are hard to bet against.

Honorable mention are TPX and Sluggers from FLA. Not fully briefed on the others.

Braves turned down the bid and stealth didn't play in the qualifier. Not sure about Team Florida though.

Returning from coaching 13u yesterday now allow me take a stab at this tourney.
Tournament will come down to coach planning with the players to get it done. If correct this type of format will leave teams no where to hide. Good competition throughout and equal match ups. Good pitching will have to be used early to stay in contention.

If it comes down to coaching I have to give edge to Astros staff and Blue Claw staff. They both have the big game upper level 13u & beyond experience and some with former MLBers with the number of coaches needed to take over control. This was a toss up with the Southern Longhorns when looking at Florida teams.

Note to all on blog and TPX and RBO8: Do not take personal just positive non-biased slant on the upcoming games.

THe RBA Titans are the most talented team from GA in this one and it's not even close - IMO. Not saying they will win it, but they have the most talent.

Not sure if you can pick a clear favorite, at least not from the GA side...if I am not mistaken none of the teams from GA have one a single tournament this year.

11UFAN---Nothing wrong with being a homer. Shucks I picked the two counterpart Jville Fla teams and I picked them to come in at a minimum of 2nd and 3rd!

BtheB,

I an definitely a homer. But there is GREAT baseball in both states.

The Astros are getting stronger and stronger with every tournament that they play. Titans have always been a top team in GA.

Should be a really good competitive tournament.

Good luck to everyone, especially GA teams

Keep picking against us. Your non-biased slants fuel our kids. Looking forward to proving your picks wrong again this weekend.

southern longhorns win this one, most pitching, best coached, have played in bigtime tournaments so kids are veterans in the big games, theyve never shy'd away from anyone.

Here we go again. Do I really have to rehash this? Allow me to clarify. I did not pick against you "us" as I do not know who "us" is. If the kids need to hear about this blog to get up for a tourney of this importance then your coach is not as good as he thinks he is.

The coaching staffs of all these teams have merit. I just feel the edge goes to the ones I previously mentioned below.

Our kids will be ready when they step on the field. They have proved that after the way they have performed over the past several months. They continue to get more confidence and grow as a team each week.

SoOoOoOoooo, NFBM if I understand the way you are making your statement: The only reason the Claws were winning is because of the "pitcher" that is now departed? That sounds very selfish and narcissistic on your part. Last I saw a baseball roster, there were 9-13 kids (players) playing the game NOT just "ONE". Now that said, if you have some vested intrest in this kid (player)it may be time for a little reality check. He is only 12!!!

In ref to departure of players from BCaws is overated as the player got their only wins of the season. Their studs need to hit so they stop burning up their pitchers.

You also referenced WF Young Guns getting a new addition, once again your wring as this Jax player was on their team before coming back to Jax and is only helping the team out when avail as they lost 2 players.

Wishing all the JAX & GA teams good luck.

Do my homework? Look at your post! That post is a just a bit outside.

So I was given mis information no biggie happens all the time in the big city. When I hear it I post it.

Good luck on the field BM.

The player that departed from that team go their only Championships of the season. Need to do your homework! The team needs to have their studs hit and stop burning out their pitchers and practice. Having one maybe 2 practices won't win games. The team needs to get dirty if they want to win.

I never said PITCHER leaving Bclaws. it's arrogant of it said the team is stronger now, my vested interest is in the sports that being ruined by these travel coaches that are about themselves and not the team, also people posting what they hear and not the fact

WOW! You boys in Florida get after it don't you. Thought we had drama here in Georgia, but keep it coming. My wife has given up her soap operas and started keeping tabs on you guys. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this 12 year old baseball? Nevermind, keep going! You can't make this stuff up.
