1. Raiders 2. Astros 3. Bluejays 4. Buzz ** all other Major teams will battle but look out for O.T.C and the little ol Diamond Kings from Sharpsburg with their coaching staff. |

Your list has the usual suspects based on previous years. The Mayhem Bad Boys should challenge any of the teams listed above base on their Fall performance and roster. So i'd say add Mayhem to the list above and you may have a good preseason top 5. But I do think there's a lot of parity between teams in the 10U division because there's a list of about 5-8 teams (ECB Braves, Nrth GA Renagades, 6-4-3 Cougars, Copperheads, The Future, Signature Park, West Forsyth DD)that can beat any of the top 5 on any given Sunday. This is based on the teams we've played or seen in a tournament this past season and Fall, I haven't seen OTC or Diamond Kings. OTC is in the SNIT so we'll see. That's one loaded tournament! |

I would definitely wait until after the Super NIT before I put the Mayhem in the top 5. It looks as though they had up to 5 players that were picked up to play on their Fall roster that are no longer on the team. They are definitely a good team but I would hold out on a top 5 "pre-season" ranking until after the Super NIT. The Renegade should be in the top 4 in the Super NIT based on what I have heard regarding their new players. |

I think there are about 10 teams that will trade wins and losses over the season, with no completely dominating champion. It's baseball. In which the best teams in the world lose 1/3rd of their games. I would add the 9u Angels to the mix as a team I wouldn't want to see in a first round bracket game. That team can be dangerous in a game. |

I believe Mayhem only lost ONE player from there Fall roster, or at least the team/roster that they finished in 2nd place at the South Carolina SNIT. From what I know of this age group, as a lot of people also know....there are some extremely talented teams put together this year, but I agree with Kerry on this one, Mayhem Bad Boys should be considered a top team in the state. I'm not a big fan of preseason rankings, but I'm willing to bet Mayhem will be near the top after its all said and done. |

More "love" for Mayhem. I'd have to agree they're one of the top programs - especially since they walloped our team a couple of times last year. I'd also throw the Gamers into this discussion. They were tough at the end of last year. |

It's going to be a fun season. I said it last year, this age group is very competitive with multiple teams having a chance to win on any given weekend. I do feel like this is a year where some teams have caught and possibly surpassed the elite teams of years passed. It will be fun to see how it all unfolds.
Question... Is there even a Raiders team? I know some kids left the team and the last i heard the team "folded". Regardless, I can't imagine they will be as strong as the previous group they have had for a few years. Same with Gamers, I hear they had some turnover.
Good luck to all and I can't wait to battle it out all spring and summer!!! |

Phattso,
There must be a GA Raiders team as they're listed as a participant in the SNIT which includes their roster.
Don't see any 10u Yarddogs though!!! |

Yeah, I jumped the gun and didn't look to see if a roster popped up. I'm sure they will be solid for sure. |

What about the Atlanta Stars? Is this a team flying under the radar right now? It will be intersting to see how they do in the Florida Super NIT. Anyone know anything about this team? |

Top Dog, I guess the Atlanta Stars are so under the radar that they haven't filled their roster yet as they just posted their tryout schedule for this week. I don't even know who they are but I just saw that posting. |

Are the Raiders "really" number 1?
With their 2011 players spread all over Atlanta between them, 643, The Gamers, and the Atlanta Stars, how can the 2012 team possibly compete at their 2011 and earlier level?
And has anybody seen or heard from BUZZ? Are they headed back to AAU to defend their title or will they make a run at the E32? Inquiring minds want to know.
Let's put out an "ALL CALL" to the BUZZ and maybe they'll come out and play... |

There are too many good teams and way too early to pick the top teams. What about Homeplate Baseball,WFD Dogs, The Reds,The Gamers Red, N GA Renegades, 643, EC Braves. There are about 12 to 15 teams that are really good and have retooled. All of these teams got much better. I think Angels1 said it best in any tournament on any given day there are a ton of teams that can win. I would not be suprised if we did not have a GA team finish in the top 5 at the Super NIT,thats how deep this age group is in the southeast. The real challange is representing the great state of GA come Super NIT.... Getsome.... |

I got to see this Mayhem team practice a few times, and they are as good as advertised. I haven't heard about roster changes but always is in fall to spring. |

I have seen the Raiders in action this year. Lets just say that it looks like a "rebuilding" year for the Raiders. The Braves look very solid throughout their lineup. They are also very deep with their pitching so they will be a top team throughout the season especially after winning the first 2 TC tournaments.
I am not sure if this is normal as the boys get older but I have heard of quite a few arm injuries so far this season. |

After seeing some teams in action I would rate the following: 1-East Cobb Braves (off to a terrific start in winning the gulf shores Super NIT and winning 4 of first 5 tournaments) 2-East Cobb Astros 3-Signature Park/Renegades/Blue Jays/Atl Stars
My son does not play on any of the teams above so just going on who I have seen in action. |

After two months of exciting and unpredictable 10u major baseball, here are my top 10 teams:
1a. Elite Gamers RWB - Very, very nice pitching staff. 5 of the nicest arms in 10u. 1b. EC Astros - very good defensively, opportunistic, and "never-say-dead" attitude. 3. Signature Park Titans - Great all-around team, well coached. 4. 6-4-3 Cougars – very good defensively, nice arms, every game close. Continuous improvement. 5. EC Braves - nice team, good bats, scrappy. The sum may be greater than the parts. 6. Buzz Baseball 7. Home Plate 8. North GA Renegades 9. OTC 10. Atlanta Bluejays
Who are your top 10?

The last time I checked on how teams are measured in terms of success is who is winning the last game of a tournament. I think some of the teams on your Top 10 are very happy staying in the middle of the pack and winning 4 out 6 10u Tournaments. I want to give a big congrats to the Elite Gamers and 643 for going up Valdosta and representing GA.

Will,
We have played the Gamers Red, Astros, Cougars, Braves and Renegades...and all are very good, well-coached teams. The Blue Jays and Homeplate had nice runs in the Atlanta Super NIT but I haven't seen either team play. I have also not seen Buzz or OTC. I can't name a top 10 because all these teams are capable of beating each other w/o it being a "fluke."
