BBall123: Your list looks as good as any you will see but seems to be based on what happened last year and the changes that you know the teams have made for the upcoming year. What we all must not forget is that the game is beginning to change for this age group. The fields are bigger and the mounds further away. The fast ball that used to blow by the big hitter might not get by him this year. The gaps in the outfield that used to be small now are much larger and speed and defense enters into the equation more. What were bombs last year might just be long fly ball outs this year. East Cobb has their faults just like we all do but I don't think that any of us would disagree that their teams at this age group are mentally and physically prepared as well as any group could be. I expect an all out war just for the "bragging rights" in the State of Georgia and cannot begin to comprehend what challenges and opportunities the national scene will offer this year. The 13U Bandits have started training hard and have a 3 day camp scheduled this weekend at the indoor facility so we will begin to see where we stand and what we need to work on to get ready. Good Luck to all in this "NEW YEAR". |

I believe your list maybe a little dated. Collins Hill Green and the Mill Creek Hawks Red have all gone to other teams. In the Gwinnett area you will still have some really good teams like Parkview, Grayson, Hebron, etc. and some new teams like the Georgia Stars, Gwinnett Elite, etc. |

Bandits had a great 3 day mini-camp with all of our players being able to attend. One of the best set up practice's Papa has ever seen and the boys looked rusty to begin with but before they left Sunday they were beginning to look like a well oiled machine. They all know how hard they will have to work to make this another successful year and it appears that they have bought into the drills. The 2 new acquisitions were 2 of the best players in the nation and all the kids seemed to being having a lot of fun. |

I don't the answer to why the Astros are not playing in Triple Crown specifically but generally if a team appears to be focused on USSSA it means that they are planning on a run at the Elite 32 and a higher point ranking should give them a better pool draw. But we all know that sometimes this strategy works and sometimes it doesn't. |
