Diablo Baseball NEW 12U AAA-Major team being formed in the Marietta area. My name is Scott Pisciotta ( http://www.shootersoftware.com/documents/scottbiography.pdf ) , and I have been coaching in the Marietta area for years. I recently left 643 DP to form my own team and gain a little more flexibility in scheduling and field time. I am forming a 12U AAA/Major team with no existing invites to players. I am building the team from scratch. If you are on an AA team and feel you need to move up to the next level then come tryout. If you are on an AAA/Major team and are lacking the instruction I see on most AAA/Major level teams; then come to the tryout. I consistently hear in my one-on-one tryouts that the players have learned more in that 45 minute session than they have in multiple years of baseball.
I am looking for serious AAA/Major level players who meet the following conditions: 1. Strong positive attitudes 2. Love the game of baseball 3. Love to be on a baseball field 4. Love to listen and apply instructions 5. Want to learn serious baseball skills from a professional 6. Want to have fun!
We plan to play a minimum of 55 games in the spring and summer, and a minimum of 12 in the fall. We will practice approximately 3-4 times a week in the fall, and 2 times a week in the spring depending on the game schedule. I also plan to break out practice sessions for pitchers and catchers as well. I see very little work being done with pitchers and catchers on other teams.
I am also looking for another dedicated coach who really knows the game of baseball to join my team. I have Brian Vogeley helping me as well, and he won the AAAAA state championship at Walton in 1992 and pitched in college.
I am not in this to make any money! I love the game, and I want to help any players who are seriously interested in learning advanced baseball skills!
The tryouts are FREE, yes FREE. I won’t charge you $85 for a 4 hour basic skills clinic. We are planning to have tryouts on Friday, July 8th at Fuller’s park on the Bronco field (lower field below the playground). We may have to move to another free field (it is first come first serve). We will start at 9 AM. We will do basic skills assessments followed by significant scrimmages. If you can’t make that tryout date, just email me and I can schedule a private workout.
Please send me an email to reserve a spot at the tryouts, with all of your contact information.
Thanks,

I am also planning to do a tryout on July 15th as well. Same time and same location. I know many of you are still playing, or may be on vacation. Please let me know which slot you will be attending in your emails.
Thanks,
Scott Pisciotta |

We will be out of Marietta, GA. I have a practice field lined up by the Big Chicken. We will be playing in tournaments and NWBA league games so we will be on the road most times. I only was able to have 2 home games at 643 last year anyway.
Thanks,
Scott |

Also, let your kids know that at the end of the game they can dig in against me pitching if they want. I have done this with my teams and the kids love digging in with someone throwing 80 mph with sliders and split fingers. Totally optional but some kids love it. |

I want to thank the 20+ kids and parents that came out yesterday. It was a hot day, but I think we had a bunch of fun. It was a great group of kids. We still have a tryout next Friday the 15th from 9 AM at Fuller's Park. Same format as before...workouts then a game ending around 3 PM.
Don't forget to pack TONS of water and a lunch. We will take a lunch break around 11:30-12:30 |

Thanks for the 22 players who came out for Friday's tryout. The weather was awesome. Hopefully the kids had a good time. If you were unable to make the tryouts we will be playing a game on Sunday at 5PM at fuller's park bronco field. RSVP and you can come out and workout with the Diablos who have already comitted to the team and other players looking to join the squad! |

Sunday is a go at 5 PM...we may have to get creative on the field usage but we will find a place to workout. |
