Any truth to the rumors that two 11u Major teams recently folded? One from out of state and the other from here in Georgia? Local team has been the subject of many, many posts over the past few months. seemed to be a ticking time bomb that many have finally gone off. The other has a long track record but seem to have not reached the level of success they previously enjoyed.

| Pick up teams will never work. There will be a lot less posts over the next few weeks until the kids all find another new team. Then we get to hear about that how great that team is for a few months. And the wheels go round and round, round and round. |

The end of the travel season is always an interesting one, you have the parents who are always on the move looking for team #5 in 4 years and the average players on aa teams trying out for a major squad because dad thinks he's a stud player that nobody else realized yet. For me, it would be a red flag if a kid asked about a team and he was going on team #5 in 4 years, what has been the problem? Is dad passing blame on each of these teams? If so, how can all these teams be wrong and this dad is right? What if the team had half its players leave? Is the coach drivin these families away?
Parents dont understand that they are looked at more then their son when it comes to a team taking them or not and its too bad cause some are good players but dad or mom got a bad rap right or wrong. Like i said, the off season coming up should be just as much fun as the season was, let the games begin!! |

I hear one major team lost two players this weekend and is keeping things together by a thread, another is on being kept alive but their pulse is as weak as a 99 yr old women in hospice. This is the season of turmoil imho, the hot weather has heated parents/coaches tempers and flair ups are common place.
If some things I hear are true, there will be at least 5-6 teams not coming back next season. |
