All teams that are planning on going to the Elite World Series must participate in the State Championships. |

The Schedule is out and with only (2) teams from each pool making it to the championship round these games are critical. I think 643 and Covington will come out of pool A, The Yard Dogs and Longhorns out of pool B and Wills Park and North Cobb out of pool C. From there it's on with 643, Covington, the Yard Dogs, the Longhorns, Wills Park and North Cobb left to battle, now that's something I want to watch!

The 1 team I would have liked to have seen in this is Ringgold, they have a solid team and it would have completed this already tough field. |

There should be some entertaining games in this one. They should set up a web cast or something. Maybe that B2C sportscast thing from Youtube that follows the Yard Dogs around will be on hand to shoot some vids. |

MY pick is North Cobb Warriors and Covinton Sting in the SHIP! My sleeper is East Cobb Longhorns if they have all there players for this one. |

The two favorites are the Yard Dogs and Longhorns, but anything can happen come Sunday - we've seen it all year. I'd put 643, Covington, Wills Park and North Cobb as teams that could make a run and the Blue Jays have plenty of talent depending on which team shows up. That's a 1st - I don't think the Longhorns have ever been called a "sleeper". |

You would think the team hosting the tournament would keep the tournament updated on their web site but they have not updated it since April 7th. Next best thing is the east Cobb baseball website under tournaments for 10u but not sure if scores will be updated there. |

Stepoff:
Thanks for your disparaging remarks concerning the ECB Longhorns website. WE'll make it easy on you. Just follow the link below. Tough job going to the USSSA website where most USSSA scores and tournaments are posted. But for you we can stay informed just by clicking this link. Have a great day...

Stepoff,
The first games were tonight. The website was updated within 20 minutes of each game ending.
Why would we keep our website updated? It is the USSSA state tournament being played at EC.

Please check it out and let me know if you have any other questions. |

Remarks were not meant to be disparaging. As of the time of the question, your site was not up to date and USSSA had not even listed the game times (that I could find so I apologize to USSSA if they were). ECB main site was the only one with information and I was not sure it would be updating. That's all. Just answering a question. itsbaseballtime: in my opinion, if you are collecting a gate fee, you are responsible for keeping the information up to date. Nonetheless, I am a big fan of the Longhorns and ALL the 10U teams at ECB. I wish more of them had decided to play in this being it is on their home turf. Good luck this weekend. |
