Schedules are out. I assume that 2 wins will get you into bracket play and a 1-2 record could place several teams on the bubble for the last few slots.Only the top 16 make the cut. |

Moccs, should be good one. I agree 1-2 might get you in if you keep runs allowed down. My goal this weekend is to just play well. We don't have bats to stay with big boys. With the teams in here we got as good of draw as we could. Good luck to yall see you there on saturday. |

Well just lost one of my top pitchers for the tournament > We have at least 8-9 available now so if anyone knows of a player looking to play in Super Nit let me know. A pitcher/hitter to replace would be great but Im sure probably not out there. I think with Stealth - Gamers Red and Truss Dawgs we have our work cut out for us. Any one willing to share strategy to make the bracket(other than win all your games). Do you just throw all u got at a team and try to win that game or spread it out and concserve for bracket. Cant see how a few of the teams particularly a AAA team would play a AA team in pool play. They could win that game and make the bracket if the others are close. I think there some serious mis matches in this one so those teams will be able to make bracket for sure and have plenty of pitching for Sunday. Hope the fences are at least 250 to give us a chance. |

Moccs, iam not one to give out strategy for this weekend. But in are case we will pick 1 to go after than hope in the others. Honestly bein real familier with gamers red that game would be a toss up both of yalls teams are similer. Ymy goal with every tournement is to play 4 games and in this no different. Iam with you I hope big fields tired of seeing 202ft homers. m |

Looks like the Middle GA Mocs are the real deal with an impressive pool game victory vs. the Stealth team. A few other GA teams had a rough tournament, Elite Red and GA Grays were both struggling to score runs. Could we see a rematch of the Bombers and Mocs in the ship?? |

Moccs are for real great group of kids, coaches and parents. As for us here with gamers black played well all day sat. Couldn't have been prouder of are kids. Sure we got hammered against steath. It happens. Sometimes coaches need to wake up and remember they are 11. I couldn't believe payin 525 to get in tournement. 10 doller gat fee per day. And no working scoreboard maybe iam just askin for to much. Great job moccs I no it hurts to go that deep and get beat but yall should be realy proud. See yall down the road. |

Thanks Biggin. The Moccs played well this weekend until the last inning of the semi final game. Poor coaching on our part that we will fix cost us bug time. The Dirt Bags had more in the tank than we did and they took it from us. We will have to work a little harder this week at practice. You guys played well and this tourney should do a lot for you guys down the road. Good luck next weekend... |

Biggin, I don't think you were asking for to much! I feel the same way! $10 gate fee---Come on, thats just uncalled for! I was VERY surprised to pay $10 to get in and the score boards didn't work????? Not to mention the fields were only 195 feet for a SNIT?? The SNIT in Atl. was set at 275 feet. I keep forgeting we were in AL. lol
I will say we had a great time! It was nice to meet you Moccs. Your team will do very well in Major. See you at Battle of the S.

Moccs were looking forward to meeting Stealth in the Ship and I think that was the problem . We looked at their scoreboard and they were up 6-0 and we were in the last inning up 8-3 . Unforunately, we forgot that we needed to finish our games first. Next thing you know Moccs and Stealth going home at the same time. Gamers had a great tournament playing up and made the cut when others did not. Don't know if Moccs are ready to compete in majors just yet. Our coaches have a lot to learn as well as players but we will savor our third place finish in our first major tournament since getting moved up. Moccs had a great game with the Slammers as well.First class team all around.. Gwinnett was hoping to play you guys in semi >> Only a few days til Battle Of the South.... |

Oh yeah.. Great officiating IMHO. (Although I think the Stealth would disagree since their coaching staff had to set out a few games for getting thrown out.) The scoreboard situation was ridiculous considering the $10.00 gate fee . Also whoever said these fields were going to be around 225- 250 feet must have been drank one two many . I believe that I was told that 125 Homers were hit for the tournament. I think that number might have been even higher. Overall I think it was a great tournament! |

Moccs,I agree umps overall did great job. Coach from steath thrown out first inning of our game was completly called for and was handled properly by ump. The one thing I need made clear is rule for running for pitcher and catcher. When can you do it and who must be runner if batting entire lineup no subs. |

From USSSA rule book (link to the rule book at bottom):
8.04.B At any time, the offensive team may use a courtesy runner for the pitcher and catcher of record the previous inning on defense. The courtesy runner must be a player not presently in the line-up. If no players not presently in the line-up are available, the courtesy runner shall be the player making the last batted out. Rule 8.04.B Comment: The re-entry status of the courtesy runner, pitcher, and catcher shall not be affected by this rule. If at any time, a courtesy runner is determined to be ineligible, a proper replacement pursuant to these rules (if available) will be used without penalty.

Congrats to the Central Florida Gators going 7-0 this past weekend and earning their birth to the Elite World Series. Also, the best two-person cheering I've ever heard goes out to the Montgomery Dirtbags! Way to go ladies! |

195 feet is outrageous for this caliber tournament...hits should not be limited to singles or HR's, that really takes away from the quality of play for the boys. |

My ? Is this if no last batted out available who do you use? And also can you wait later in inning after faster kid makes an out than put him in to run ? |

Our field we played on in the Atlanta Super NIT was 195ft....And it had absolutely NO mound....The quality of fields these Super NIT's are played on is ridiculous....Kingsport TN had nice fields but the worst officiating of the 4 we have played in...Pretty dumb IMO that the top teams around who are playing for a berth the Elite 32 can't get some decent fields and decent umpires. |

Central Fla was strong defensively, pitching and hit numerous home runs. I noticed in the Atlanta Super Nit that they finished last place at 0-3. Did they add more players or just had a bad tournament or draw in Atlanta? It would have been nice to make the final with them but I dont think we had anything left in the tank to compete at that point. Biggin-- I dont think they were following the rule about courtesy runners. They were allowing the last batted out even if there was a substitute available not in the game. |

They had an extremely bad tournament in Atlanta (one of their 1st major tournaments) and lost 3 close games that could have gone either way. The team was exactly the same in Atlanta and Alabama, although they were missing one of their better pitchers/hitters this past weekend in Alabama. As you can see by their roster, they do not have 25 players like some teams. |

Moccs ,that's the point iam tryin to get to why can't we just follow rules that are in place. Its not true bball when u allow leadoff hitter who hit homer come run for #3 batter who is catcher. If iam wrong please tell me iam wrong. We had another situation sat nt in last pool game catcher reaches base next batter strikes out. Kid walked straight from batters box to 1st to run for catcher. So basicly we can run for pitcher or catcher anytime with anyone in front or back of them in lineup. Maybe if we had solid rule in place coach from steath doesn't get run I take that back he would have latter either way. |
