29 Teams Strong and growing! The favorite has to be the ECB Longhorns coming off a strong Sunday last weekend with Ringgold and 6-4-3 right behind. Signature Park is coming off a strong weekend and the Bulldogs are tough as well. Wills Park, OP, Mill Creek and OTC can beat anyone. Plus you add the unknown with the out of state teams. This thing is loaded! Would love to see North Cobb, the Yard Dogs and the Yankees in it.

10 AND UNDER DIVISION:

I see where North Cobb has entered as well. I think 643 is due to win a big one. We'll see how the pools play out.

32 10U Teams! TC makes a killing in GA for good reason - with North Cobb joining I'll put them right behind the ECB 10U Longhorns and ahead of Ringgold and 6-4-3 to win it.

Wow. That's pretty much the entire Majors division, and then some. Wonder how many different parks they'll have to use for this one?
I think it would be a GREAT idea to have the bracket rounds at New Georgia fields in Dallas. ;)

Good to see the Yankees and OTC throw their names in the hat. Would be nice to see Valdosta come up for the weekend.

I've got to give Tony and his crew kudos on the pool matchups. I've been vocal in the past but the last couple tournaments have looked like you guys have taken the time in this age group to understand who is who. The 4 teams that caught a tough draw (out of 30 is pretty good) would be Sig Park and North Cobb in the same pool and the Bulldogs and OTC - makes for 2 teams scratching to play in the gold.

Looks like the Longhorns should be able to get through pool play without using any pitching at all.

GGG - I gave TC a hard time in Feb because the pools seemed to favor 1 team, I can't say that now - yes, the Horns have an easy draw but so do most of the favorites in this thing. My beef earlier in the year was 1 team always had an easy draw while the other top teams had to play each other, that's not the case any longer which is the way it should be when thier is two brackets. Which would you want, get an easy draw and get knocked out game 1 of bracket play or have a shot to win silver. I think this tournament is set up very well.

I agree this tournament is set up fairly well. The only two teams with very easy pool draws are the Longhorns and 643 (the two favorites). The rest of the pools look pretty even.

I would not say 643 has a completely easy schedule. They only have one really easy game and then they have to play the ECB Mudcats.

I think you can add Mill Creek to the favorable draws list. With 30 teams, the pools aren't going to be fair for all but it looks like they were set up to get the big guns into the Gold bracket. Still think its time for 643 to win one and my darkhorse is the OP Sharks. I know....how can the Sharks be a darkhorse? Not much talk about them recently.

OP loses to Reds, is this an upset? Looking forward to the rubber match vs OTC, our top 5 pitchers are poised and ready. This should be a fun weekend. Good luck to all!

Bubbasdad - I'm guessing you wrote this before the scores where posted? Wills Park went 2-0 and are +14, I'm thinking they are safe for the Gold Bracket and unless 643 poops the bed Sat morning I'm thinking they are safe to make the Gold as well. You might be right about the stros and the others haven't played yet.

I don't really think so. I've seen the Reds in a few tourneys this year and they've played tough against several good teams. They've definitely improved since last season.

Gold - The Longhorns played the 16th and 30th ranked teams. If they are going to win this one, they've got play 4 games against some of the best 10U programs. Their side of the bracket includes North Cobb-OP, Atlanta Blue Jays and Mill Creek. I would favor this side of the bracket. The other side has some strong teams in 643, Ringold, Savannah, signature Park and Wills. Don't count any of the teams or upsets by others not mentioned.
