Not really bashing the Dirtbags or any other team from NC. I really have no dog in this fight and simply am trying to call a spade a spade. The NC Canes made the effort to play in Atlanta against strong teams. To the contrary the Dirtbags did not. There were other teams absent in Atlanta who should have been there. The reason I cite the Dirtbags is because until just recently they were the #1 ranked team by USSSA power points. The Bandits have made several long trips to play top competition, most recently in Alabama. The Dirtbags are giving me the impression that they simply feel more comfortable at home. I guess every team feels the same way. However, if you want to be considered one of the top teams in the country, you have to leave your comfortable surroundings and go play the toughest teams around. If the Dirtbags win the Super nit in Charlotte, I'll be the first one to congratulate them. I think that the Bandits will win that tournament and by beating some good teams along the way, will increase their power ranking. Maybe G-man got confused with the weeks and really meant to say that the upset will occur this week. Although I have never seen them play, from reviewing their stats, I think that the Canes are an up and coming team. They could pull an upset and beat their state pals.

MLB, would you please let the tournament brackets come out first. I am going to start a thread for you to bash teams not from Georgia. I was born there, and am proud of that fact, but enough of the Dirtbag bashing. I am sure papa agrees on this point. He respects them enough to not do it. The Bandits may very well win it, but the Dirtbags and Canes... and a few others possibly will do their best to hasten the ride back to Georgia.

Thank for the information. After the North Carolina Super NIT in Charlotte, the Bandits will increase their power points lead in the USSSA ranking. The Dirtbags will likely fall to 3rd or 4th place.

Hey MLBScout,

I just noticed the Bandits have a higher power rating then the Dirtbags. I didn't see any threads on it.

I wanted to make sure you knew so you could get more sleep. We all know this was keeping you awake.

Brackets and Pools will determine a lot. Once those come out it will be interesting to see who ends up in what pool. There are a few teams in this that have at least one shut down type pitcher. So depending on how the schedules look, it might setup the means for an upset.
