The Moccs will play 4 games this weekend. Not having the full team will take its toll. I heard the same happened last year around this time to you guys. Good luck to all. Hope everyone has a safe and productive weekend.
Brackets have little to do with determining a winner because every team will go into Sunday's bracket. The thing that doesn't get talked about is match ups, some teams just play others really well and some teams just can't seem to get over the hump vs. others.
In the case of Sandy Plains, they have as tough of a pool draw as anybody. Do they use pitching to win? what is the end result if they do win their two pool games? Your not playing any less games by winning so to me, save pitching because Sunday everyone is starting over again. Just my 2 cents, good luck to all you guys this weekend.

Pool e by far the toughest. After looking at it all week up,down, and sideways don't be surprised to see 3 teams from there in semis. With that bein said anything can happen this truly deep field of teams and a lot will have to do with how coaches use pitching.good luck to all. |

I agree with Braves Fan and Biggin. Pool E is a tough bracket (on paper)and Splains should have two good games. I dont think winning the pool in this bracket will have any significance at all except to detemine were you would play if you make it to Sunday. Personally we would like to stay at one park if possible. We have played both Splains and Eagles once each (0-2) and both have probably gotten better. I still have to wonder how a team with 11 major players can play AAA and there is an average AAA team from Fla playing in major Nit? Oh well we will just have to see which team shows up and hope for the best. 5 1/2 hours to first pitch of the tournament. !!!! |

That Eagles team is listed as an 11U AAA team but at 10U I don't think they beat any major teams. It looks like they played some decent teams down south and came out on the other end, I wouldn't worry too much about them. ;-) |

great tournament this weekend...congratulations moccs...wish I could have seen the finals game...some fantastic games this past weekend...after looking over the final 16 it looks like Pool C turned out to be pretty tough...all four teams made the final 16 and 3 out of the 4 made the final 8 and the same 3 almost made the final four... |

very interesting weekend. With the format of the tournement as to how teams used pitching or tried to save pitghing. It was pretty obvious what most teams did basicly thru out pool games and whatever happened. Oh well. Looking back at it now for us didn't come into play. Also I hate playin on 200 ft fields just to small for this level of ball maybe its just me and type of team we have. Hey bo did you try for that match up in bracket play or just the way it worked out. Hey moccs your opinion of oregon park team iam just curios. Once again congrats to the moccs. And bo go get them this weekend. |

Yes, Congrats to the Mocs. We came out in the 'ship and socked them in the mouth and jumped to a 6-0 lead. They pecked it away with timely hittng and had some fresher bodies than we did when it mattered. It was a good game with lots of action and good defensive play on both sides. We look forward to competing against them again. AC |

Thanks for the great game. We played several teams that could have easily went either way. It does seem that the AAA division is pretty evenly matched and anyone could in on any given Sunday. A few have mentioned major for our team but anyone that played against us this weekend I am sure would honestly say that we are a decent AAA team but not deep enpugh for major. NG Bulldogs can hit with anyone !! Great group of guys..lots of heart and sportsmanship. Good Luck !! |

Awesome Tournament for the Moccs. I do not know about all the "out coaching talk". I do know we had a little more "lady luck" on our side this weekend. Crazy how luck and momentum can swing one way or another. We played some good games against some great teams. In ellimination every team fought for every thing they could. It was AWESOME for me to watch. In the final game our defense was letting us down a little, and to be honest I thought it was not our turn to win. A few breaks in the later innings and we came out on top. The Bull Dawgs are an awesome team. Their coaches are great and the work in the cage has paid off. Those jokers can hit! We thought they would hit all our pitching and they did. It is wonderful to watch 11 year old kids put it all out there for their team and both teams did just that. Good Luck Bull Dawgs and the same to all that made this a GREAT TOURNAMENT. |

Biggin, I had a good seat at the Sharks game. I think they are a solid group. They pitch, hit and play defense well enough to win. They gave us all we wanted and probably feel a little cheated with the outcome of our game. I enjoyed the conversation I had with the third base coach and wish them all the best. Great coach, great kids and parents that are into the game. Can not ask for more than that. |

If usssa decides to move Moccs up based on a several one and two run ball games then they should move about 8 other teams as well. Hate we didnt get to see you guys play any games. Don't think we did anything special except maybe save our pitching a little longer then most. We used 11 different pitchers for a few innings to try to give everyone some game time experience. Most got there chance during pool play where the outcome was not as important. A good time to move the Moccs to majors would be during the reclassification next year after a full season if all goes well. |

Moccs - I will be the first to support you staying in AAA. I personally think usssa needs to rethink the timing of their reclassifications anyway. You built a team that should be, and is, competitive with any AAA team out there. To make a change after a team is built to compete in one division is ridiculous. Now you either get beat every week or cut kids loose who made the team designed to compete in AAA and pick up some studs to help you in major. Makes no sense. Granted, I have a dog in the fight. The Cards simply weren't built to play major but based on last years results- we went up. I'm not saying we shouldn't have or that we won't eventually compete as a mid-pack team but we basically have no chance to win this season. I'm sure you guys will do a better job than we have done if they move you up, but it still makes no sense to do it now. Either way - you guys are a classy group and I wish you well. |

Moccs, let me make sure iam clear to you. Iam not sayin yall are a major team.I just think usssa will take a long look at yall hey that's what comes with success. Know as far as yall just bein a decent aaa team come on man you no better. Are some aaa teams out there that can beat yall on sundays sure but I will take my chances with yall. Also can't consider the fact you beat teams by 1-2 runs that's to easy to control. |

Cards..looks like USSSA has decided to send the Macon Cardinals back to AAA. I guess its a new game now. The question is whether they will move yall back up if you drop down and dominate. The Cards power rating against AAA team is already above 90% and you know several will complain. Biggin-Wish we were good enough to control winning games by one or two runs but ask the jackhammers (7-5)oregon park (2-1) and ng bulldogs (9-6)and they will tell you each of those teams should have beat the Moccs in each of those games . |

Just heard about the cards going back down to AAA and can't say Im not happy. I'm sure folks will complain, but not those who have watched us play this season. I don't think it is a permanent solution and the way we are playing now I think it is pretty obvious that we won't dominate anything. |

Well Mocs, that's how bracket games against good opponents should go and that is what makes Baseball the awesome game that it is. If you had told me at 3 pm Saturday that we would knock off two #1 and two #2 seeds to advance to the 'ship I would have bet against it.
We played such poor defense in pool play that all we tried to do in the bracket games was get the team to focus on one pitch at a time and try to win each inning they played. We only had 10 on saturday and then only 9 for 2 of the 5 games Sunday. Fatigue finally caught up with us in the late innings. Even so we did not give it away and your boys earned it Sunday. Anyway, there was nothing cheap about your tourney wins. You have a Howitzer behind the plate and plenty of heat on the mound and big sticks to clean it all up when the defense gets edgy. Every team gets good and bad breaks during a weekend. |

Congrats to the Moccs on their win and we loved (almost) every minute of our 2-1 semi's loss. It was a great game and awesome to have every player playing hard and enjoying our great sport. We enjoyed all of it but the final score unfortunately!! Thanks to Gloveman for his kind words about our Sharks. The boys love to play and we love to watch them play. See you all on the ball field soon. |

It was a great tournament, and we really enjoyed playing you guys in the elite 8 round. You guys played very well defensively, were aggressive in the strike zone, and well coached. Look forward to playing you guys again soon. |
