We are from Chattanooga and my son and I are looking at taking a road trip this Sat. to watch some baseball. Where's the big tournament this weekend? In other words, where are the Bandits playing this weekend? Thanks |

You'll want to be at Fowler Park in Cumming off Hwy 400 ext 13 Saturday morning between 8:30-12:30. Go West 1/4 mi. to State Rd. 9, turn left go 2.5 miles Park entrance on left at Castelberry Rd. Brand new Park and Bandits play a Doubleheader. If the weather cooperates, you'll have a blast.
Before the 1st game (or immediately after the 2nd game), go to BB's Bronx Bagel Diner for breakfast. 1 exit South of the exit you'll take to the Park, for BB's, take exit #12 (McFarland) go ~2 miles West, on your left. Shiny metal trailer looking joint. Best breakfast and bagels in the North metro ATL. 770-475-1818. Big Yankee fans, and the heavy Bronx accents to match. Packed mid-morning so go early to avoid waiting. Chocolate Chip Bagel for junior, Garlic Bagel with Salmon & Capers for me. http://www.bbsbagels.net/menus.html
6 am - 2 pm: Mon through Fri 7 am - 2 pm: Sat and Sun
If you guys are car guys, after the games, take a left out of the park and drive ~10-15 minutes South on State Rd 9, and there's a Ferrari and Aston-Martin Dealer on your left at Wills Rd. Indoor showroom packed with awesome rides to gawk at. They sell Ferrari trinkets (T-Shirts, caps, coffee mugs, ect..). They'll tell you how to get back to 400 via Old Milton Pkwy. |

BatChipper, we would consider it an honor for you and your son to sit with our team this weekend. The Bandits are playing in the Forsyth County Slugfest. Our pool games are at 8:30 and 10:30 Saturday morning at Fowler park in Cumming.
Even if you don't get to see any of our games, there will be plenty of great baseball to watch this weekend in Cumming. There are hundreds of teams playing in the Slugfest in 5 different age groups. Each age group is also divided into two divisions. If the weather holds out it should be a great weekend of baseball. |

BatChipper: How old is your son? We will make sure that he has a great day of baseball and you can bet that the Bandits need all of the fan support we can muster. From all that we have heard this is a brand new ballpark and the Bandits hope to break it in properly. We play some real good friends (643) of ours Saturday morning at 8:30AM and Papa knows that they will give us all we want and then some. Look forward to meeting you and your son. |

It's a beautiful BRAND NEW Park, visited yesterday and they are still painting the dugouts. Just as a heads up I did not see any batting cages for warmups. Whoever is playing on field 2 will be able to see the skate park and watch all the skateboarders doing their tricks. Two of the fields are kind of like All Tournament in that they are below the bleachers.
Fences look to be 225.
Have fun and good luck to all.

Papa, he is 11 but plays 12u. Not big or flashy, just gets on the field and plays his heart out. We don't start till May because of school ball and the baseball fever has hit us.
Bmoser thanks for the help. Think Ill skip the car lot though. With my impulse buying reputation, I would be on the couch for a year!! Although that hour heading north on 75, nay think Ill pass. LOL |

What is the address for Fowler Park for the 12U slugfest this weekend. Me and my son have the same bug up here in Tn and are thinking about coming down Sat.....if he doesn't have Middle School practice. I enjoy the Middle ball but the big field just isn't the same and the competition level well...... suffice to say I am ready to see some of the best 12u hit the fast paced small field. We will be joining them in May the 1st weekend after Middle School.
Thanks, |
