Let's hear some preseason chatter...any tournaments under your belt already? Where you better than expected, on course, need work? Still waiting on that 1rst tourney weekend? Where you gonna be? Seen any teams out of the box that surprised you? Good or bad?

Looks like 9u is gonna be fun!

SURPISES (Pleasant Surprise)

MGBA - "The FUTURE" steps into the season with a nice early season effort winning the Nations Baseball event in Jonesboro. Looks like you won't be able to save any pitching against them if you expect to win as they defeated a consistently solid PC Mudcats team in the ship 9-6. Way-to-go FUTURE.

NO Surprise

The GA YardDogs Blk 9u wreak havoc on an OVER-MATCHED field winning in dominate fashion 14-0, 14-2, and 21-1 in the ship. Looks like those Dogs gonna have to bump-it-up a year to get some good work in. Really nice job Dogs...keep it up.

Nation's Break the Ice 2/20 Results:

MGBA (Yard Dog Reds of old) (4-0) 1st - Very good all round with plenty of pitching
Peachtree City Mudcats (3-1) 2nd - lost 9-6 to MGBA in Championship
Angels 8U (1-3) 3rd- lost heart breaker to MGBA 5-4 in semis...great 8U team that can beat any 9U team on any given day
Mill Creek (3-1) 3rd - lost 5-0 to Mudcats in semis...watch out for this team...very good with the best lefty I have ever seen. Very hard throwing tall kid with towering presence & great off speed secondary pitch.
Misfits (0-3) 4th - Tough tournament draw but also a solid team. They have plenty of pitching...definitely not AA caliber as they played everyone tough!
Yellow Jackets (0-3) 4th - Team in development

I have never seen us look that bad in a tournament before. One thing we typically do well is hit but the bats definetly were cold.It was just a bad weekend for us. My gas did not throw gas and we did not make routine plays but with that said we got beat by good teams.

Thanks PC
