E, I'll take 643 also to win it.

I think G4G and Norcross will be in the semi's.

Norcross is usually very disciplined team. One of the last times we played, they had us beat 7-4 in the last inning and my son hit a grand slam to win. If we didn't get that hit we would have lost. They play very well. I wish we were in this one!

We are really excited about the 11U field this year and the 10U field also looks like it will end up with 16 teams as well. We will be breaking down to a Gold/Silver bracket on Sunday. Come on out and see us at Oregon Park. We would love to have you all!!

Looks like this is going to be a great tourney. I tried to get my team in it over this weekend but Mike told me that due to the cold mornings and potential for a late night championship game on Sunday they decided to keep it at 14 teams. I was very impressed with his professionalism and the way he handled it and I know that this is a fund raiser for them so to turn down what is probably an additional $1,000 I knew his heart is in the right place.

Good luck to all the teams and be sure to give Mike some kudos. He is a super nice guy.

Who are the Shaw Park Legends, G4G Force and the Ready Roadrunners? IS the Kennesaw team new or some hold overs from the last years mustangs team?

Weather looks like it'll be very cold in the AM and evenings so it's probably a good idea to keep it to 14 teams. Looks like a good group of AA/AAA teams, should be super duper fun!

Kennesaw is a new team with some returning travel ball players and some additions with all star experience. Quality coaching so it will be interesting to see how they progress. GPA was the most improved team I saw last year, it will be a good test for them to see how they do agains AAA competition. Should be a fun weekend.

I looked at the usssa roster for the gpa hooks. It looks like they have one former ecb star, one ecb ray, one 643 cougar, and twho ecb titans added to thier rostet. They probley should be aaa . Who knows how many are actually playing fall ball with other sports going this time of year.

I'll take 643 & G4G in the finals with 643 winning it. Hopefully G4G will save there strong lefty for the very end! They will need him against 643. I also think the Hooks and Hobgood will do well. The rest of the other teams seem matched up very well with talent level. I know there will be some other good battles between them. I will say the Gwinnett Titans should put up a fight. Good luck to all teams. Wish we were going to be there!
Tommy, thanks for the info on Norcross team.

Nighthawk12,

Your right, the GPA Hooks roster is filled with former players from strong teams and they are all good players. The one thing I do notice is that there wasn't many pitchers in that group you mentioned.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't this the first tournament for 643? They probably have the most talent on their roster but don't forget that many of these teams have a dozen games under their belt and can be a little sharper.

Hope they have plenty of hot chocolate there, hear it's suppose to be in the 30's!

Gold Semis
643 10-0 over GPA
Chastain 8-2 over Shaw Park (I might be off here as my brain is fried)

Finals 12-5 643 winning over Chastain after 5 innings

Tournament was running pretty smoothly until 9:30 pm when what we thought was a timer issue and the lights turned out early due to time change. Turns out we blew a 200 amp fuse. Both teams were fantastic about this unfortunate issue and I apologize to both Pat and Greg as the Cougars and Bucks are two great teams.

Silver bracket had Hobgood Storm Beating G4G.

Thanks to all the participating teams. The night games were a little cold but the weather was great during the day.
