Are there not a lot of teams playing this fall at 9U? I have not seen much info for this age group. I know there is a tournament at Oregon Park starting Nov 5th with only 4 teams signed up. The 10U and 11u age groups are over flowing but where are all the 9U teams?
Seems pretty light. This is a transition year for most kids, so I think more teams spend what time they have in the fall getting the kids over the kid pitch hump. Just a guess on my part, though.
I agree with you both. We have had some trouble finding tourneys and games to play this fall. Logistics are difficult in the fall due to football and school starting back, but to your point, that doesn't seem to be stopping other age groups. This the huge transition year for many teams who didn't play 8U kid pitch, so maybe some folks are just gun-shy about signing up for tourneys. Not sure.
