What happened to this tournament? Astro's, BlueJays and a couple others dissapeared.

As a member of one of the teams mentioned I can say WE backed out because the cost was WAY to much for a fall tournament and there just didn't look like there were going to be enough teams.
Drop that cost from $495 to $300 or $325 and they would have had alot more teams participate.

I see the Blue Jays are signed up to play at Acworth for a Sunday only tournament. Don't know about the Astros.

I think this will still be a good tourn. With room for any other good teams that want to sign up today! All the teams in it are strong quality teams. Who does everyone like in this one?

Looking at the teams I would say 5 or 6 different teams are all capable of winning it. I coach the Braves so I am very bias towards one team and would not like to give my picks, but would be interested in what others think? Several of the teams I am not familiar with at all. I also know several teams merged and I have not seen them play. We are coming to this with a few strong players from the C Sting and I think we should be solid.

I have heard that the Scorpions made some roster changes recently. They appeared to play very well against the GA Braves, Gamers Blue, and OTC this past weekend. Anything can happen in the Fall....

Actually Jackhammers came back in the bottom of the 6th inning and scored 3 runs off of two errors to beat the Scorpions 4-3. The starting pitcher for the Scorpions had the Jackhammers shut out through 4 innings.

So the Scorpions were ahead 3-1 till they lost, gotcha. Not exactly dominating but as CF said, anything can happen in the fall.
Heard a rumor one of the Jackhammers better pitchers/infielder went to the Astros. Any info about that?

Don't know which kid you are referring to but I saw the Astros roster on Nations site if you want to cross check. Also may not be accurate, a lot of kids are picking up with teams right now, and may go back to their team in the spring.

excoach12 - you said "I believe the Jackhammers beat the Scorpions two weeks ago with little effort............" Crazy merely said that it was with effort/errors. No mention of dominating.

You are correct, poor choice of words. My apologies.
I saw the game and both teams made their share of errors. I try to look beyond the errors as all teams make them every game and what I saw was that the Scorpions were not their old selves and the Jackhammers did not have to do anything extraordinary to hang with and then beat them.
But as we all know, the fall is when changes are made, they get rusty, kids switch positions, coaches experiment, etc. Thats why my other posts say its a waste of time to rank order teams in the fall. Wait till 4 or 5 touneys into the spring and then start the ranking stuff.......
