Gee, I'm just as excited as you are to find out who this "high profile" player is that would be leaving our team to go play with the Extreme...it's been really tough making sure they all don't leave to go over |

Sure would like to see the new roster for the Roadrunners! "High Profile" does sound a bit extreme, but the ECB Extreme did look very good in their scrimmage. |

Things are going well. I am VERY excited about the team we have for the upcoming season. It should be an interesting and fun year to say the least. |

Pulpwood has been listening to all of the chatter about last weekend and is trying to make sense out of the uproar and commotion about a fall beisbol tournament in Alabama. But Pulpwood's one that believes that where there is smoke there is generally fire so he has done a little ciphering on the situation in Auburn and has a couple of observations. From what he sees there is a lottapop in those Homeplate bats and maybe the south really is going to rise again. At least one team in the tournament had their pride hurt as they learned that one man can't do it all. Others found that a foundation built on stixx can sometimes be unstable. And while there were threats of cyclones, outlaws and dirtbags causing problems, in the end all finished up as expected. So it goes that while all of this is just little league beisbol in the season that doesn't really matter, Pulpwood believes The Homeplate CorndogsChilidogs should be considered the new team to beat and is releasing his final preseason predictions for 2011.

Actually, I think you are way way off,,,I'd have the Titans and Pride and Longhorns way before the RoadRunners, we will just look to compete at the AAA level at best this year...We are just looking to grow our boys as young men and hope to be 500 at best this season with all these new teams getting so strong this year.... |

LLbball, I would say that is obtainable now that Coach Howard will be taking over the well deserved bucket. He is a true pitching "guru" with a wide variety of pitches that he can teach the boys. With 45yrs. of pitching experience the RR's should have an outstanding rotation.
Smokes wife, are the 45's the dreaded Dragon???? I just hope HP can field a team this Spring that can compete in the Northern Division. We are really lacking in size, speed and pitching this year.
Good luck to all, Spring will be here soon and the boys of Summer will once again be hitting the road for another season. |

Its time for Uncle Festus to chime in on this discussion. I believe you have to have 2 things that make a top 5 team, good coaching and talent. So, without further adeu, here is Uncles Top 5:
1. Astros (With enough players to field a football team, theres got to be some talent there. One of the two things as previously mentioned is there, we shall see how it unfolds) 2. 45's (Really upgraded this year, loaded with tater chuckers, and the coaching will be second to none) 3. Roadrunners (always good, look forward to seeing that roster come out) 4. ECB Braves (not sure on this one, lost a few and got a few, but get to uncles top 5 for keeping it together for so long) 5. Now, as far as 5 goes, fall means nothing boys, too many football players, they aint hittin, fielding, or spittin. Could be anybody!! |

I am going to give all ages what they want and that's a MAJOR tournament for all the best teams in GA ,AL ,FL ,TN ,SC ,NC and whoever else wants to come.
