What teams are planning on having any type of Fall season? Basketball, wrestling, Lax, and other activities make it hard but wondering who is planning on playing in some tourneys the next few months.

The Roswell Hornets will probably play in 1-2 tournaments in October/November. We might play a handful of Sunday scrimmages as well, but the focus this Fall will be practices, improving fundamentals, building pitching depth and incorporating the new players.

Looks like there are several teams playing this fall, Nations and Triple Crown both have tournaments with 6 or more teams already entered. The TC fall state championship is already shaping up to be a real nice tournament, here is the list of teams already entered:

EC Rays look like the favorites here, their pick ups might be the biggest in 11U? The Titans added a couple of the Raptors better players from last season and will be tough. Anybody heard of the south GA Tazers? I love that name, wonder if the head coach is a cop!

11 AND UNDER DIVISION:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. BUCKHEAD SAND GNATS--BUCKHEAD, GA
2. sfcb barrett baseball--cumming, ga
3. atlanta blue jays--atlanta, ga
4. east cobb titans--marietta, ga
5. east cobb outlaws--marietta, ga
6. east cobb raptors--marietta, ga
7. sba scorpions--holly springs, ga
8. south georgia tazers--hazelhurst, ga
9. east cobb rays--marietta, ga

Some other really good teams are playing
Sunday only schedules. I saw that The Shiloh Titans ,Sandy plains Wildcats and Alpharetta A's are all playing some Sunday tournaments this fall. I am told that Shiloh and the A's picked up some great talent.

Shiloh is a major team, no doubt about that but what tournaments are the Wildcats and A's playing in?

Based on what their roster looked like for this tourney .... they have a minimum of 3 kids from the Rangers that are not going to be on that team in the spring and are only playing fall with them...I'd temper the enthusiasm...but great start for a new team.

The A's are playing a Sunday only schedule. They are hosting two different round robin play Sundays where they will be playing the Shiloh Titans, East Cobb Raptors,Sandy Plains Wildcats and East Cobb Rays. They are also in the Adcock Scorpion Wood bat tournament and are playing against the 12u North Ga. Storm in a few weeks. It should be a great fall schedule.

Middle Georgia Moccasins looking to play some competitive baseball in September - October. We would prefer to play AAA or major teams if possible(especially East Cobb/Gwinnett teams). Local teams other than Macon Cardinals are mostly AA. If you know of a tournament with a lot of these teams scheduled please post.

BTW- watched the SFCB Barrett team play in Covington-- looks like they have something to build on. We were missing a few due to conflicts so never got a chance to play them. They would be a very strong AAA team IMHO.

Good to see you guys playing up here this fall, this tournament should be a big one. There are now 13 teams signed up and should exceed 16 in a couple of weeks.

IIRC, you guys have a winning record vs. EC teams so you'll need to take it easy on us.

I watched a local tournament in Macon this past weekend with the Copperheads and Macon Cardinals playing . The Copperheads looked really good and are definitely not a AA team in my opinion. They beat the Macon Cardinals 6-3 and 7-1 with dominating pitching performances by number 23 and number 7. Why would a team this good register as AA ? Is there some type of advantage?

Teams around here do it too....A lot of guys like to win their games 15-1 and 17-4 so they can tell everyone they "dominate" travel ball....But when they end up playing the big teams they almost always get smashed. Playing at a lower classification does nothing to help the good kids on a team. A couple of the names on the Copperheads roster ring a bell, I think they have three above average pitchers on that roster.

Cardinals had one of there better players out because of injury but Copperheads are a very good aaa team or better. They have set up three teams this fall it appears because two of them played in Lagrange during the same time. If you keep up with usssa stuff which I try to avoid it will appear that you have been beaten by aa teams if you dont know any better.
