Sandy Plains will be conducting tryouts for their 16u Wildcats team on August 5th, 7th and 8th. See Schedule below.
Sandy Plains has a long, successful track record with their 10-14u travel teams. We are making a concerted effort to extend that tradition to the HS age groups by attracting talented coaches and players.
The 16u Wildcats will play an abbreviated Fall Schedule, likely 2-3 tournaments. We will offer Fall and Winter training for our athletes to prepare themselves to make and succeed on their HS teams. We will play a competitive Summer 2011 Schedule from May to July. Our 16u team will be managed by Greg Norman and the returning Head Coach will be Chris Maiocco, Crown HS Asst. Coach and long time Mt. Paran travel Coach. We will also supplement instruction with talented, paid professional coaches.
We strive to keep costs low. As Atlanta is the center of the Travel Ball universe, I do not plan on traveling out of State to play any tournaments. We will play all local Major tournaments, including Perfect Game, CABA, Smoltz-Grissom and Triple Crown events. Your son will have the opportunity to be seen by College recruiters and Scouts at these high profile tournaments.
Sandy Plains offers abundant field availability at Harrison Park, for practices and games, a central location, on Shallowford Rd., next door to Lassiter High School, and a recognized baseball brand in the East Cobb area.

There is never a fee to try out for any Sandy Plains Travel Team.

Thursday, Aug 5th. Harrison Park, Field #6. 2653 Shallowford Rd., Marietta. 7pm-9pm.
Saturday, Aug 7th. Harrison Park, Field #6. 3pm-6pm
Sunday, Aug 8th. Harrison Park, Field #6. 5pm-7:30pm
