Question for everyone out there, it's early but it seems like most of the top team's rosters are pretty set. Who makes the move up to play majors next season? |

Signature Park is planning on playing Major/Elite ball next season. How well we do will depend on what type players we fill in around our core group. Renz taking a bigger on game day will help. |

The Shiloh Titans will be playing a major schedule next Spring. No GGBL for us. |

Sorry, I am new at this. I meant to say Renz taking a bigger role on game day will help. |

Spartan, your team was certainly "major" caliber late last season. Will your team do much traveling next spring because I don't see more then 8 major teams next season.
East Cobb Astros, Braves, Stars, GA Grays, Yard Dogs, SP Spartans, Stealth & Gamers Red. Did I miss anyone? |

Shiloh sure seems like a candidate for that list. |

Great, that makes 9 and counting. I think this age group needs 12 teams, I'm sure there will be a couple more added once rosters are finalized. |

ecb insider it will be hard not to travel to find the best competition. With so few Major teams we will most likely end up playing each other alot. I wish there were more Major teams but it is really hard to find the quality talent it takes. After we won the GS world series with Shiloh we tried to combine them and the Spartan teams together but that did not happen. I guess it will work out for the best since it puts 2 major teams out there from our area instead of 1. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you played USSSA tournaments every weekend then wouldn't you amass plenty of USSSA points? Teams up north only play 2-3 USSSA tournaments each season so they will never lead in points.
I'd like to see them come up north and play in a Triple Crown tournament next season or step up and enter the majors in the NIT next season. |

"points" are based on how many tourneys you play in, not if youre an actual top team..ditto what biggin said |

Biggin,
Why do you say that the Cards are not close to major yet? Were the major teams they beat not really major teams? Ort are they not a major team because they havent beat any ec teams? usssa has to move them up according to the points and power rankings. |

We played with Shiloh in the AAA state and I don't personally think that Macon is a major team. They looked like a solid AAA team but I don't personally believe they can play with the Braves/Stealth. Not yet anyway, hopefully they make some additions and get stronger. |

The Cards play good defense, hit really well and have good 10 old pitching. Some people close to the team feel their pitching is better than some Major teams already. What not makes them a Major Team? I think they are going to play Major and sneak up on a few teams... |

They were missing players in the State Tourney. Would have been a different Tourney for them it all their players were there. |

Well, if you guys feel this way then come up and play in the Triple Crown Spring Frost next spring. Most of the top teams will be there, let's see if you guys can hang with the big boys. Only one way to prove you do. |

I say let them sign up Major and time will tell the story. The more Major teams in the pot the better. What they better realize is that when you sign up as a Major team you set yourself up for alot more windshield time since our friends at USSSA do not cater to Major teams. I hope we have a bunch of teams move up then it can all play out on the field. |

Yeah they were without 6 players in the state because of all stars. the usssa says they were 3-1 against majors and 6-3 against 11 year old teams. Why arent they major material? |

Still would like to know what makes a major team. I think anyone can be beat on any given day. Actually we beat east cobb titans twice -east cobb rays-east cobb yankees-- Spartans once (early on I agree). It was hard for us this year losing numerous games during little league without key players. Hopefully next year we play travel only and move up . We want to start out at aaa and move up to major if we play good. We want run from competition even if we get beat down and that is what will make us better next year. |

If your routinely beating the top 10-15 AAA teams then you need to play majors, The Rays & Spartans were top AAA teams and are a good indicator, the other EC teams you've beaten are mid-level AAA teams. |

I believe we were and should have been classified major the entire season. As soon as we quit batting all 22 kids on the team and actually tried to win tourneys we started performing like I thought we should the entire time. I'm not a big fan of a continuous lineup and I also think moving kids to different positions every other inning isn't a good way to win. One thing that I learned this year more than others was that if a pitcher doesn't have confidence in his defense he will not pitch up to his ability. Pitchers need to learn to overcome errors but it's a lot harder to explain to a kid why the errors were made when your right fielder is playing shortstop. |

If we could get Macon director Scot Carter to host an 11 under major tournament would everyone come and play. I dont think it is a bad trip to make from Atlanta area. Btw- Haven spoken to the Macon Cardinal coach on several occasions and I think he would be the first to tell you that his team is not a major team. |

I can't speak for our team but I know our family would be more than willing to make that drive. Problem is there are hardly ever enough major teams for a tourney. The best tourney's are generally Triple Crown or similar, open tourneys where several teams from each classification are entered. |

Like I stated earlier macon cards not a major team maybe in future. I watched a lot of major ball this year and also more aaa from what I saw there is only 1 team that should go play major that is sig park. Shiloh real good team but not major without the additions they made at end of year. The fact is in order to play major teams you have to sign up and play. I didn't see that happining to much with shiloh or macon. I guess it will say a lot when next year super nit comes around we will see where all these so called major teams play aaa or major not sayin they couldn't win a game or 2 but no shot in full major field. |
