Congrats to the 13u Roadrunners on your CABA victory over the EC Astros!
Looks like Roadrunners are geared up to go deep in the Elite 32.

Before everyone starts throwing rocks, the first set of pool games only seed out for your quadrant for elimination play. You can be 8th seed and beat the #1 seed the first round of the playoffs and take their spot. If you are looking to conserve pitching, that can be a good approach. The objective is to win the tournament, not necessarily go undefeated. In the 14u tournament, no team went undefeated.

Hearging RR are going to be minus 2 key players the remainder of the week. Tought to finish strong if not at full strength. Looking at pitching log, seems they might be playing possum?

Gee....Look who is sitting waiting for the championship game to be played after beating the team 11-0 that beat the astros.....Yes, that would be the RoadRunners...and that is without their #3 and #4 hitters who are playing for the Jr. Olympic team right now.

I'm confused. Is Astros and Roadrunners teams you are referring to this the rising 13U teams that was coached by Brian Shook and Mike Corbin or are these kids and teams who played 13u in the season just ended Aug 1. (who would now be rising 14's...)

2010 13u Astros and Roadrunners who are in the Elite WS in Disney right now. This should have been continued in a different thread.

Btw, the season does not end Aug 1 for all of 13u.

Roadrunners are playing well, no doubt. No need to embellish things though. The Roadrunners #3 and #4 hitters are not playing with the Jr. Olympic team now.

The fact that the Roadrunners are in the winner's bracket finals of their pool is impressive enough. Leave it at that.

Way to go! Didn't the Jr. Olympic team finish a week ago? Two players are at home, one starts school. Don't stretch it. Sounds like you don't need them anyway. Good luck tomorrow. I also think Tabu, Maryland Academy and a couple of other very good teams are waiting also. Right now you are one of 12, in the number one slot in your pool, not #1 overall. I would be very excited to be undefeated on Friday also.....another great day at the park. GO MARYLAND!!!!!

Sorry...thought they were still playing .....you got the point though...and I was also trying to make the point that most other local teams don't allow their players to even try out for the Jr olympic teams...

You are obviously misinformed on a couple if different fronts then. I know an East Cobb player who went to those same tryouts. Not sure if you are trying to make the point that EC doesn't allow its players to tryout for USA team, but if you are, you are wrong. Again.
