We the N Ga lightning would like to play one more tournament before calling it for the year. We decided on a wood bat tourny put on by Southern Baseball. It only has a couple teams so far. Diamond Baseball from Knoxville and us. If anyone can please jump in so we make this work out. Just need a couple more.

Papa what do you think about the Lightning and Outlaws combining into one team? Do you think they would be a good team? And what do you think about teams that do this type of thing? Just a question we are not combining.

fourseam what do ya mean what does papa think i have known pappa and competed against him for years. pappa is about the win he would drive thru the projects 20 years ago and bring a group of grown man to play youth church basketball, we want even talk about baseball or softball.i think the proofs in the pudding bandits were a great local dizzy team at 8s,picked up a couple at 9s,great travel team, picked up for 10s got better, had 2 great pick ups for 11s from grip, put them far beyond the rest.we all know there will be editions again which will continue to place them far beyond the rest.a local team can win at the local level and compete once in a blue moon in the bigger tourneys but if your true desire is to play travel ball not play in a $250 tourney against league teams then yes every year upgrade. The offer was not to combine for the year but for a few TRUE Big TRAVEL TOURNAMENTS.This is going on with 3 teams i know because i was approached by 1.the fact of the matter when you face a true travel team a local team may luck up and beat the bandits once but consistently competing is not gonna happen.pappa its no longer a saloon its called "your neighborhood bar and grill" |

fourseam: Papa has been told that anything goes in the fast and furious game of travel baseball. You will be reading soon of many changes that have been made not only to the Bandits but to all the teams. One of the first things I was told when I entered the world of travel baseball was that anything goes and that I should grab hard and hold on tight and that is what I have done. I think that a team should decide on what level they want to compete and do whatever works to make it happen. As you have most likely already figured out billy the kid is not playing the game with a full deck of cards and Papa did not pick up grown men from the projects. They were just very large kids that could dunk over billy the kids boys pumpkin heads. billy the kid happens to be one of Papa's all time favorites that I have tried to pass on my vast knowledge of baseball wisdom but he just doesn't seem to want to listen. I don't think that anyone will be disappointed with the Bandits latest acquisitions. |

fielder you must remember the good ol days the FIRE was a special team.7 of those FIRE kids had a great showing 1st in state (dizzy) and 4 in the world (dizzy).I have 3 orginal FIRE kids on the OUTLAWS.2 played at ecb this year and 1 played with homeplate LAWSON.Issues and money put the FIRE out but those are all wonderful young men with great familys.AS far as taking some of those kids back if it help the team play at a higher level with some of the great new talent that is now the outlaws YES i would.AS a whole the Fire would just be a local travel team that could win on a local level but not be consistent week in week out. OUTLAW coaching wants to develope kids and push them to push themselves. They have to want to want it.this travel stuff isnt getting any cheaper so on the weekends its about WINNING thats it.Alot is being said about teams that have coaches that do not have a kid on the team.My coaches agree if our kid shuts down and theres someone to replace him we wont have a kid on the team either.IF anyone is intrested in competing week in and week out with the OUTLAWS call me 706-346-6643. |
