The three heavy weights from Ga. ( Astros', RoadRunners n TOrnado's.... I included the TT but I know some may take umberrage with that !!! ) will be kicking a_ _ and taking names in Indianapolis. Good luck to the Georgia Teams and go show em what Georgia ball is all about. Be nice to see some sort of Georgia finals....maybe I'm just dreaming but any two of these three have the ability to "just do it" !!!!!

Any predictions out there ... never seem to have a shortage of "crystal ball prognosticators" on this board....what say's ye ?

Touche NoErrors....I stand corrected. I just looked and didn't see RoadRunners or Tornado's and yet they were on there up to a few days ago....wonder what happened or if they were even going to begin with and we had another TD playing some gamesmanship ?

OK....good luck to the ECB Astro's !!!!

I know for a fact that as of 2 weeks ago the RR's were going to CABA. It was mentioned by the coach during a conversation we were having. I have no clue what happened but it was on the schedule. They are still slotted for the elite 32 in Aug. though.

The RR's are going, but I have not heard anything about the TT's. Their coach told me they were not going to go at the TOC, but things may have changed.

Season over? Didn't they get an Elite 32 bid? Thought they finished 2nd at Alabama Super NIT behind RRs who already had a Super NIT win.

Tornados did get a bid to the Elite 32, but werent able to go due to it being in August. Over half of our team could not go due to football, school or financial reasons. We spent a ton of money going to Omaha, which unfortunatly isnt all its cracked up to be. I really wish they would schedule this tournament a little earlier than in August. Good luck to all the Ga teams and I sure enjoyed the year at East Cobb it was a lot of fun.

Nader-

We're looking at going to Omaha next year as 13's but your comment has me worried. Was it not a good tournament or what? Thanks.

Yes and no, the College World Series experience was great, but extremely crowded. The competetion was just not that great which it hurt when Lamorinda and several other topped ranked teams dropped out. The whole tournament is spread out all over about a hour radius, and it doesnt have that big the tournament feeling, you would think with all the teams that enter. The fields were subpar at best, no score boards worked, bases were just stuck in the dirt, it wasn't what we thought it would be for what it cost.

I didnt get to go w/ the Naders but have heard the same thing from several other coaches & parents who went. Simply not what they expected for the money. Based on what I have been told - I wouldnt waste my time or money on Omaha.

With the win the Roadrunners have to win one more to take the Championship. The Astros have to win the drop down game then beat the Roadrunners twice. Could be very interesting...BEEP...BEEP...GO ROADRUNNERS!

Astros won, 13-0. Roadrunners are winning the championship game 1-0 in the bottom of the 1st. They are currently in a rain delay.

GReat game! The Roadrunners sure are making a name for their program. From what I hear, there is a trend this coming season of some of the top talent to leave ECB in the 12u (upcoming 13s) and 13u (upcoming 14s)for this program. Roadrunners should be a force at 13u and 14u next season.

I am pretty sure that "trend" of kids leaving one program for another has been around for quite some time and goes both ways. Roadrunners will have some leave for EC, and EC may have some leave for Roadrunners. That's just part of it.
