There are some other Georgia teams still competing in July. The Stallions and both Team Gwinnett's are going to the Triple Crown event in Myrtle Beach later this month.

By the way, the Stallions and Vipers played at Turner Field on Monday morning for the championship of the Smoltz-Grissom. Vipers won the game 1-0. How cool for those kids!!

The Turner Field experience was perhaps once in a lifetime for most of these boys. In my opinion, the Stallions did it the right way. They let everyone play and bat and every pitcher pitched one inning, and in fact had a combined no hitter going into the 7th when the Vipers scored on a walk off hit to win it 1-0.

The Vipers also pitched well and had a no hitter broken up in the 6th with a Stallions single.

Both teams played extremely well, especially defensively, and it was a great experience for the players, coaches, parents and fans!

Buzz, Are you saying that the Vipers played a CHAMPIONSHIP game the wrong way? We batted everyone (sorry guys, we only have 11 players) and put an injured player in the lineup. Plus, we had a couple of guys with tired arms and no innings left.

BTW, both sides pitch an awesome game. Your no hitter was broken up in the bottom of the 5th and our in the top of the 6th. Best defense all year from both sides. Wood bats kept the hitting down.

An awesome experience for all involved. Can't wait to get the video.

LOL, No. Didn't mean to imply that the Vipers did anything wrong. Your guys played an absolutely awesome game. Just meant that I thought it was cool that all the Stallions got to experience pitching one inning from the Turner Field mound...something they'll never forget! Congrats to PCV for a great win!! Thanks for the video reminder...I had totally forgotten about that!

EC Astros (8-1 Tourny Record) made it to semi-finals losing to eventual Champion So-Cal National Team 10-9
Great job by both East Cobb teams

Atlanta area teams are doing well at the Triple Crown Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach. ECB Stallions went 3-0 in pool play and are the #1 seed for bracket play. Team Gwinnett White went 3-0 and are the #6 seed. Team Gwinnett Blue and the Big Stixx also made the Championship Bracket.

Stallions and TG White are in the semi's in Myrtle Beach. Good representation. Astros are in the semi's of the Classic bracket of the 16u CABA WS back at home (playing as Team ECB).

Way to finish the season strong, teams.

Stallions made it to the championship. Beat the Richmond Braves Elite 7-3 in the semis. Team Connecticut plays Team Gwinnett White in the other semi. Team CT looks pretty tough. Let's hope its an all Atl area final.

It was an all Atl Area champ im Myrtle Beach with the Stallions winning it all 3-2 over Team Gwinnett-white.

14u Astros are in tomorrow's Classic Division Championship against the 16u Homeplate team after run ruling the 16u St. louis Pirates this morning.

Great way for all these teams to end the season.
