Alot of the more progressive players are going NO wheels. The older players don't use them and the kids in the 11-14 range are choosing to follow that proression. More of a duffle type as that is what the pro's use and they all think they need to be like them. The only exception are the catchers that obviously need wheels. The wheels have their own negatives. Stability, flipping over, dragging on the pavement which tears the bags, etc. Pros and Cons to all choices |

Yea I've seen those Worth bags as well and they look nice. I like the plastic runners on the bottom and the size. I don't know anything about how they hold up or the number of pockets they have. |

I just saw the new bat bag by Combat and it's very impressive.
Complete plastic under carriage with plastic runners on bottom, big wheels located on the very ends of the bag, big enough to store lots of gear (in fact to many pockets), telescoping handle, heavy duty material.
We have never had a bag last more than a season. So I have been looking at this post as well as online and in stores to find the best bag.
I guess this bag just came out recently and they started displaying it at RENZ baseball a week ago.
The best part it's only $90.00. All the bags I've seen that are comparible have been between $160-200. |

Under $100 is the Worth Wheeled bag. Has a lot of similar qualities to all the top bags mentioned above and will save you $10-$30 at least.
My son uses the Easton team bag. Retail is approx $170, and is the only bag that we are going into year 2 with ever. Full plastic under carriage, telescoping handle super sized, but expensive.
Here are the things to consider:
*Age of player (some of the top bags listed above are too big/heavy for the younger boys)
*Price, if price is of no issue you can even check out MIKEN bags really nice but expensive

You could try the Max bag Cobra XL, but your best best if you have the $ is probably the No Error bags when it comes to size needed catchers gear. They have bags made specifically for catchers.

We have the Boombah beast bag and it works Ok for younger catchers. My son is now 12U, and you need to know how to fit the pieces to get it all to fit. It still looks great though.

The Maxballbags are just like the beast bags as well and I don't think you would go wrong with either the Beast or Maxballbags. I actually have sometimes wished the Beast bag was a little smaller when I have to pack it into the car or van.  Maxballbags were cheaper if you buy in quantity off ebay, but now it seems cheaper at least to buy direct from Maxballbags for one.
The standard cobra bag is smaller than the Beast bag. i.e. -
38L X 16W X 10H - Maxballbags Cobra and Cobra RTS
40L X 14W X 13H - Boombah Beast Bag
40L X 20W X 12H - Maxballbags Cobra XL
34.5L X 11.75W X 11.75H - new Boombah Beast Bag JR
I could see the Cobra XL flipping over if you loaded one of the side pockets heavier than the others because it looks like it is the same wheelbase as the Cobra. There is a side by side comparison on their website:

I agree with Whitlow. Boombah Beast bat bags are very sturdy with plenty of space. Our team bought these bags 2 years ago and they are still in good shape. Plenty of colors. |

I know the Buford 12U team has these max bags and I can ask if they have had any issues. The only difference I see is that the max bags are not quite as big. Our boombah bag does have places worn on it from dragging over curbs, but we've had it since 9U. |

Good luck with getting items replaced at ECB.The uniform program at ECB is used as a fundraiser for the park.ECB does not treat the uniform program as a business, therefore the customer service suffers. |

My experience is that the No Errors Dinger or the NO E2 Catchers bag are the way to go. My sons has lasted a little over a year. I am going to have to replace it this year but I would like to think we put a little more wear and tear on it than most do. They are expensive but the wheels make the thing. I can't understand why more companies don't go to a wider wheel and wheel base. It is crazy. Hands down the winner in IMO. |

You would think with EC forcing every team to buy Rawlings bags that EC would have informed Rawlings of the zipper issue. Maybe all us EC parents should complain to Wes about the Rawlings zippers and maybe he can lodge a complaint...... |

Agree with ya about zippers on the Rawlings bags. Last season I had to swap out the zipper pull with one from an old Mizuno bag just to get the zipper to work!
Unfortunately his new Rawlings bag that he received this fall - the zipper doesn't zip on the top of the bag :-( Tough part is gotta support Rawlings with them being a park sponsor.
I'm considering bringing my sons bat bag in to an alterations place to get a new zipper since we still have spring season to go thru.
What have your done previously with issues on the zippers on Rawlings bags? Would luv to know if you've had any success. |

Alter, the zipper malfunction is the main problem with the No Error bag. The wheels are far enough apart but the boys constantly drag the sides of the bag against curbs, doorways, etc. and it tears up the zipper on the side pouches causing the side pouches to be useless.

Guys, just wanted to give you all an update on our bat bags. We ended up buying the No Errors Dinger for our players. Bottom line, it was a big mistake. The bag is pretty expensive and most of them didn't even last until the end of the Summer. It has really great wheels and tons of storage but the side pouches have completely fallen off most of them. We will be looking for new bags for the Spring season. |

ESEC2100 is right about one thing. Sponsor or no sponsor he works his butt off to get us the best product at the best price. Papa has been working with him purchasing some helmets and looking at a jersey and the service has been off the charts. All of us should support not only this business but all the folks that sponsor and support this site. |

The only place I could find several images of the Worth bag was on baseballexpress.com. That is a nice looking bag with many colors like the boombah and looks similar to the boombah beast bag. It has similar monster wheels, claims to have a shelf system as well although no pictures, its made of 600 denier, etc. Two things I like better are the protective railing across the back and the customizable side panels as well as top flap. What this means is you can take it off for customization/embroidery. The beast bag has it beat on size though 40LX14WX13H vs. 37LX12WX16H and for $75 or 10+ at $67.50 for the beast bag thats tough to beat. I think the biggest test though is who has the best zippers which seems to be the weakest point on any of these bags if you read the reviews. We have not had any issues with the zippers on the boombah beast bag so far...knock on wood.
The Worth Wheeled Bag looks like a great choice to me though and you can buy it local.
