I can't find a list of participating teams anywhere. With a scheduled start date 1 week away ( I know, it never starts on Monday) would it be possible for Dennis or John, or ANYONE involved, to clue the rest of us in on who is planning to attend?

PCV, what's next on the agenda? Are there any decent tournaments out there to prepare for the Elite?
PCV Posted - 06/28/2009 : 16:18:44
Allstar, you hit the nail on the head. Only way I know to get my friends to the beach at the same time!!

Now they are in Panama City playing in an open tournament where there are AA and AAA teams playing. Not sure what they gain from that except some beach time.

looks like Combat ran out of pitching. Vipers hit something like 13 hr on the small 13u field there at E Cobb. Ouch
Alter-Ego Posted - 06/22/2009 : 10:24:43
I guess Combat ran out of pitching. It is hard to come back through the losers bracket and still have enough pitching left. Congratulations to the Vipers for a strong 13U USSSA Major State Championship.
sdrhitman4 Posted - 06/22/2009 : 09:45:48
Yes, Combat beat the Bulldogs and then they beat Team Gwinnett but they lost to the Vipers 20-0 in the finals.
bigdog Posted - 06/21/2009 : 19:06:15
i thought I heard Combat beat the Bulldogs something like 8-2 and then beat team Gwinnett this morning 12-6 to make the finals. But not 100% sure
Alter-Ego Posted - 06/21/2009 : 14:49:42
I assume the Vipers finished off Team Gwinnett in the winner's bracket. Who won between Bulldog and Combat? Then who won between that winner and Team Gwinnett?
mammabee Posted - 06/21/2009 : 09:43:08
one of best games was web bridge against h heat seesaw game #7 and #10 hit homers for heat and bulldogs scraped back with baserunning and small ball.

heat won in last frame 6 to 4 after an injured player stayed in game to complete it had 9 players

Try this:

http://www.usssa.com/sports/TournamentSeedingReport.asp?TournID=532044

If the link doesn't work go to: usssa.com/baseball/tournaments

Select: Baseball Boys 13 & Under AAA/Georgia/State and click on the 15.

Anybody know the USSSA Major State's 13U schedule for today?

I think we all agree, we play USSSA just because it is established as the big boy of sanctioned baseball but they have a lot of competition that will bring them down if they don't clean it up. No score updates, whatever fields they can get, bad communication. Oh, and East Cobb needs to improve on score updates if they want to run all these tournaments too. It's not that difficult, put in a web tool, and you will get a volunteer to do it for a tournament.

For all of the people that are complaining about Mt. Bethel not having concessions, there is NOTHING that we as a host team had to do with that. WE WILL HAVE DRINKS AVAILABLE FOR SALE ON SATURDAY FOR PURCHASE.
jska Posted - 06/18/2009 : 11:55:30
Exactly. Ask around about the debacle at Mount Bethel last nite... field lights out, no concession stand (in 90 degrees), no scoreboard...but they were there to make sure and collect $5 gate fee from grandparents.

Is there a different web site? USSSA only has Tuesday's scores.

Yes, it has been on there since last year. It is because East Cobb has arrangements with hotels to get the absolute lowest rates. The only way to ensure the rates are lower than any other options is to require teams to use this service. Omaha Slumpbuster does it, perfect game tournaments do it, etc. This is not a new type of deal.
