Posted - 07/30/2010 : 18:50:49 I try to have several workouts/tryouts for a few reasons. 1) allows for a bad day (illness...late night...etc) 2) how does that player interact with the others on and off the field 3) the more you see of a player, the more information that you have to base a decision (goes both ways-the more you see of a coach and his staff) 4) you get to see the player in different circumstances, a scrimmage, in a practice environment, etc. |

Posted - 07/29/2010 : 20:55:33 Every situation/team is different. It could be 1 or several...as long as the coach is communicating what the process is..then it is up to the parent to continue the process or simply say we are not coming back to any more tryouts...if you want him call us. |
