My name is Wayne Roberts. I am the owner of Global Sports Authority Inc. (GSA) We have been involved in Fast Pitch Softball for many years, and now we are beginning our Baseball program. I began GSA in 2002 and we have grown in Softball every year. With over 1000 teams playing GSA both of the last 2 years. My background is more in baseball, and I feel we can build our baseball program faster than Softball has grown.

Our baseball website is http://gsabaseball.org We have an extremely good ranking system and we work hard at creating great competition. Click on the rankings tab from our Fast Pitch Softball site (http://globalfastpitch.com) and our baseball site (http://gsabaseball.org) to see how our rankings work. We are currently working on more exciting programs that we will let you know about soon.

If you are looking for an Organization that truly cares about the game and not how much money we take in, we invite you to visit http://gsabaseball.org Click on the following link to send us your contact information. https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dHNJYkE5VG01c19WcWZWdFRLT0NNREE6MA

With the hype and problems going on with USSSA you couldn't have picked a better time. What do you say guys. Lets get some information on times and places and give this guy a try. Couldn't hurt nothing could it.

Wayne,

I know you have just started, but are the brackets and scores going to be updates in close to real time? It looks like anyone can run a tournament for you, then fax the scores after the tournament is over? I know one thing I hate is not being able to look at a web site and see what is going on at a tournament. Am I missing something?

Decatur, glad to see it is about you and what you need not the players and what it offers to the young men playing in their tournaments. What will the rules be, etc. The rest comes after, in my book.

Sorry if you think it is about me. I look at a tournament that can't get itself organized and wonder about how well they can pull off the "On the ground" organization. I can't tell how well run the tournament will be until we go to one. I can only use what I see as a place to start asking questions. I never stated they could not run a good tournament, just wanted to get the conversation started on what they could offer.

GSA Wayne...

I got an idea... How about starting with the idea that when you have pool play in a tourney, the only fair way to rank teams is to have every team in the pool play each other to determine pool placement. Baseball is the only sport I know of where the powers that be think you can have four teams in a pool and play two pool games and decide who is one two three four in the pool. Or a pool of five teams and have three pool games and then seed teams one through five. Statistically, unless all teams in a pool are equal, someone is getting a bad seed and someone is getting a handout. This is a major flaw in youth baseball. Maybe you could fix it in your tourney format.
