Drew Waters was the 41st pick last night in the MLB draft taken by the Atlanta Braves. He just graduated from Etowah High School, the 7A GA champs.

Congrats Drew!

I think he played for 6-4-3 since he was 14 or 15 years old.

That's what I thought, I know he was always a good player but seemed to really excel when he got to 643.

So at 14 years old did he excel because of 6-4-3 or because he was talented and really hit puberty?

Natural talent will only get you so far, it has to be honed. My understanding is he worked on an off the field very hard to hone his talents. Could he have accomplished that with another club, maybe, but in order to get to his level you have to work for it.
